Beautifully presented, modern hotel offering everything we need for a short break. Lovely big room (208), bold but thoughtful decor (loved the huge local photos), clean and spotless throughout and very helpful staff - good luck in your new job Carlotta :)
Easy walk into the old town, or north to the Botanic Gardens (look for the East entrance) or down to Leith - perhaps via the Water of Leith walkway where we saw more goosanders than mallards! For further afield, there's a bus stop right outside as, come May, will be the tram.
Would certainly stay again.
P.S. on our first morning, I was woken by the air-con fan turning on. I changed it from automatic to the lowest fan setting (easily done on the little control pad) and wasn't troubled again.

Dear CJS01,

Thank you very much for taking the time to write such kind words about your stay with us at Hotel Indigo Edinburgh.

I am delighted to hear that you have enjoyed exploring our beautiful city and we are certainly the ideal base to do so. As you correctly mentioned from May this year all our guests will be able to take a brand new tram directly from the airport to our doorstep. It couldn't be easier.

I am glad to hear that you would stay with us again and hope that we can welcome you back in the near future.

Stay original,

Dominic

Stayed just for the one night with my wife, as usual it was brilliant. This hotel has friendly staff and a relaxing atmosphere, room as on our previous visits being well equipped, spotlessly clean and maintained to a high standard. As a regular visitor to Edinburgh, this has to be one the most comfortable and well managed hotels in this beautiful city.

We stayed in Edinburgh last weekend at the Indigo Hotel - it was fantastic. We were early but our room was ready and it was also my husband's 50th and they sent up Bubbly and chocolates to our room!! They were extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel had a very relaxed atmosphere. Lovely breakfast too!!

Room Tip: Our party had a mixture of rooms and all were great. We were on the road but it was very quiet.

Starting from a phone call enquiring about any special requests 3 days BEFORE I arrived, the service was always warm and courteous. The room was at the back of the hotel, a little small for a "king-size" room (220) and overlooked a dark courtyard, but it was very quiet and we had a great night's sleep. The room was spotlessly clean, the bar fridge was full of complimentary soft drinks and snacks, and the bathroom was also very nice, with a rain shower.
Do go for the breakfast option - it was good value with even haggis (normal or vegetarian) and black pudding among the options. The egg was done to order.
The hotel is situated about 5 mins walk from Waverley station and is therefore easily accessible to Princess Street. In the near future you will be able to step out of the hotel and straight on to the tram service, which runs all the way to the airport.
Would definitely return.

Room Tip: Request a room at the back for peace and quiet.

Dear Lord_Travel,

Thank you very much for taking the time to write about your stay with us at Hotel Indigo Edinburgh.

I am delighted to hear that you have enjoyed your time in our beautiful city. All our rooms come with secondary glazing which really helps keep the hustle and bustle of our busy city centre outside and lets you get a great nights rest.
You are right, from May this year we will be right in front of the final stop of Edinburghs brand new tram service directly from the airport.

I do hope that we can welcome you back in the near future, maybe for a little easter break.

This is one of the most comfortable and quite hotels I have stayed during my time in Edinburgh.

The staff are friendly, pilot and professional.

The Hotel is located not far from the railway station, around a 10 to 15 minute walk.

I did not use the car park or the bar area so cannot comment.

The rooms are very modern and up to date, the brew kit is substantial with a bottle of milk rather than those fiddly little cartons. There is also a small fridge to keep the milk and also contains complementary soft drinks, bottled water a chocolate bar and dried fruits.
The hotel restaurant is very good with a wide range of food on the menu.

The hotel is an ideal base for visiting and exploring Edinburgh.
