Traveling to Edinburgh we stayed here. If you are looking for a hotel with not a lot of hoopla trying to get in and out of your hotel this is not the place to stay. Granted it was graduation weekend but there were far more people around then there should of been for an occasion a week out. Also, the train station is right next door. So again, a million people around. Both rooms my family had were very loud from street traffic along with some other noise we couldn't quite figure out. We had a suite and another room on the 5th floor. Staff was very friendly when first arrived but it seemed that turn down service or any other needs were not met in the hurried fashion of that of its sister hotel in London which is fabulous. No one seemed to want to make your needs a priority and breakfast marked at specific times on your card was not brought then. I think I received my breakfast later than the time marked two or three times which if you are trying to get out to do some exploring can be frustrating when the other members of your party are waiting for you. This is a grand hotel but perhaps we missed the grand experience we were expecting on an off weekend. Better luck next time...
