It was a pleasure to stay at 24 Inverleith Place during our short time in Edinburgh!
We enjoyed Caroline's gracious hospitality, the lovely room, the delicious
breakfasts, and her guidance on getting around Edinburgh. We especially
appreciate that she took care to meet my husband's gluten-free dietary needs.

The hosts were very welcoming. We stayed in the double room with separate bathroom. Both rooms were well appointed and very comfortable. Breakfast was very good with different choices each morning .- I particularly enjoyed the muffin with smoked salmon, poached egg and hollandaise sauce.

We travelled in Ireland & Scotland for 20 days, staying at B&Bs most everyday. On this trip, we stayed 2 nights at 24 Inveleith Place and found it to be excellent, one of our best stops. It was one of the few B&Bs where the owners took some interest in the travellers and spent some time socializing with their guest. The breakfasts were excellent (very extensive), the accomodatations were very comfortable and the conversation related to the history of Scotland was interesting and informative. Caroline and Roddy were very helpful ensuring we made the most and saw as much as possible during our 2 day stop in Edinburgh.

Caroline made such a great breakfast (we only stayed one night). It was such a bargain compared to the other prices closer to the city. Before we came, she was helpful and told us about the bus system there that took us into the city. She even told us where to go for dinner. Out of all the places we stayed (9), this was one of the largest rooms (so beautifully decorated), and had an absolutely fabulous bathroom. The bathroom was large, beautiful, and cozy. We have to say the heated towel warmers are an added bonus.

We had a wonderful 4 days in Edinburgh, staying 3 nights at Inverleith Place. Caroline and her husband couldn't have made us feel more welcome. The first evening we arrived to find a lovely welcome with drinks and nibbles in the sumptuous guest living room. The set up is ideal for two couples (as we were), with the two bedrooms sharing the wonderfully comfortable living room. Breakfasts were as good as you could find in any of the grand hotels. Great selection of cereals, croissants, fruit and yogurt to start with a selection of cooked breakfasts to follow. The scrambled eggs with smoked salmon was my favourite. Apart from the 'usual' cooked breakfast, you could choose from porridge (with or without whiskey), kippers, scrambled eggs (with or without smoked salmon) and Caroline went to great lengths to ensure we had exactly what we would like. She even asked if there was anything else we'd like that she didn't list on menu. The beds were to die for - I can't remember having had such a comfortable night's sleep away from home before (from the first night too). Luxurious cotton bedding and beautiful decor. The en-suite and bathroom (one for either room) were beautifully appointed and supplied with luxury toiletries. We really can't fault this wonderful home from home.

Room Tip: Both rooms are equally as nice - the front room has it's own en-suite and the back room has a pr...

We spent four nights at 24 Inveleith Place B&B and were very happy with our choice. Caroline is a passionate host - caring, attentive and discreet. We felt at home from the very beginning.

We enjoyed the comfortable bed, the bathroom with its grand shower and the cosy sitting room, tastefully decorated like the whole of the house. The rooms are well equipped: you will even find fresh milk in a thermos flask besides the electric kettle and the rich selection of tea and coffee! Above all, Caroline's breakfast is simply outstanding and definitely would have earned more than only five stars; you will regret not staying longer...

Edinburgh city centre is within good walking distance, and bus connections are excellent. We can't imagine a better accomodation to explore Edinburgh and the surrounding area and would come back any time!

I agree with the other five star reviews; we were made to feel very welcome and our stay was comfortable and peaceful. Breakfast was delicious and portions were generous. The bed was super comfortable, as was the room in general. The bathroom was spotless and furnished to a very high standard. Caroline was really helpful helping us get travel into the city and to the airport arranged. Really felt like a home from home with a lovely family.

Room Tip: Had the smaller of the two rooms available, but this was a good size and we were very comfortable.
