Try cold smoked salmon to ...cranuncchan. Whiskey, beer and wine. Great walk through old and new town with a lot of interesting tidbits and history.

Our schedule didn't allow us to book this tour until our last night in Edinburgh but it was still quite worthwhile. We visited some parts of the city that we had not yet seen and learned additional things along the way from Alan, who has great taste; the food and drink were uniformly excellent. I would highly recommend doing this tour as soon as you get to the city as it will give you a nice overview and help you plan the rest of your stay. We've done these types of tours in several cities and this was a very good experience.

A very enjoyable tour highlighting Edinburgh's food scene. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and most helpful. There was plenty of food and drink and, something we prize in these tours, lots of variety. Our guide also highlighted some of the local history surrounding the areas we visited. We've been on food tours in many cities and this was one of the better ones.

We have been on a number of similar eat/walk tours in various cities(all different owners) and have never been disappointed. I would suggest to book one for your first day which will give you a good overview to then explore on your own. Our guide Julie was very knowledgable about the history of Edinburgh and we tried some lovely food and drink of the region.

Thanks for the review, it is greatly appreciated.

We recommend doing the tour early in your trip, as you suggest also, so you can have a chance to revisit some of the restaurants/bars we stop at. In addition your guide can suggest some other great places to eat during your stay.
