We have stayed here a number of times and cannot fault it. Great food, staff and service. Whilst it is not in the centre of Edinburgh the bus service is regular and just outside the front door and the new tram service is about a 15 minute walk away. The rooms are clean with huge comfortable beds and we welcome the sauna and pool after a long day shopping and walking in Edinburgh. Breakfast is excellent with a wide variety of choice and the food menu is good as well. We also like to eat in the Cool Jade restaurant which is just across the road.

Have just returned from a four night break at this hotel. It is situated right next door to Edinburgh zoo, a little way from the city centre but there is an excellent bus service. Taxis were very reliable to. We paid a lot of money for each nights stay but can appreciate this would be the case during the festival season. All staff we came across during our stay were fantastic, warm and friendly and very attentive. They seemed to know exactly when was the right time to approach you in bar/lounge area to re order drinks. The prices of drinks were expensive , nearly £8 for a glass of wine , but again you come to expect this in hotels. The atmosphere was excellent, a really comfortable place to chill after our busy days.
We booked a twin executive room - it was very nice but much smaller than it appears on their website!
Breakfast was very good each morning, wide selection of hot and cold food.

I would stay again, hut hopefully with cheaper room prices!

Room Tip: We had a room over looking the zoo, very nice, but expect some animal noises in the mornings!

Clean, comfortable, friendly and helpful staff. We got there too early to check in and they kindly locked our bags away. They also called cabs for us during our stay and had a great cleaning service while we were there. Location is not within walking distance of royal mile but the bus system is cheap and sooooo easy to use. Would stay again!

Booked a one night stay in Edinburgh in a double room. The rooms are very well laid out with choice of pillows and plenty of them. The bathroom was clean and very well lit. What really encouraged me about this hotel was it's gym, pool and sauna which I did make use of during our stay and it was a great wake up call. Looking back I wish we booked another day there. Staff were good though in the evening one member of staff did look at me like I had popped out the ground when I asked about ear plugs, it must have been the fatigue! Would recommend visiting again, oh, and in the car park you can hear the zoo animals!

Booked in for a two night break for the Fringe Festival , on checking in I was told we had a room upgrade, on check out I found I that I had been charged £15 per night for the "upgrade" that was on top of the £175 per night rate, I was told that I had requested this upgrade by ticking a box at the time of booking.
Wi-fi, £3.95 per hour, Extra, Breakfast, Extra of course, the big surprise Parking which is excellent and Free.
All in all quite a good Hotel, most staff were very friendly, but check out the "deals" before you book.
