Description: Local, friendly neighbourhood pizzeria, serving fantastic hand stretched pizza cooked straight on the stone. We also do fantastic homemade lasagne, antipasto sharing platters, warm salads and delicious desserts. All of our bread and dough is made fresh! straight from our kitchen.

This is a place which truly deserves its spot on the TA leaderboard for Edinburgh. Myself and two friends recently visited- we had the anti pasti for start, then each had pizzas which were delicious! I had the vesuvio- wow it's hot but thats how I like it.
Quaint, small and romantic- a lovely little independant restaurant.
You must book on a weekend as there are less than 10 tables!
Very reasonably priced for excellent quality food!

Went to Origano during a trip to Edinburgh to celebrate our engagement. Went there after rave reviews on here and we weren't disappointed. We started with the meat antipasto platter which includes a variety of cured meats, freshly baked bread and red pesto and garlic butter dips which were lovely. Wee tip; keep your garlic butter to dip your pizza crusts in! The pizzas had an authentic, thin crust and were really tasty. Also good that you can choose from 3 different sizes to cater for all appetites! Despite being full we couldn't resist ordering dessert which was also good. Service was attentive and friendly without being over the top. To sum it up, we we would recommend Origano to anyone looking to eat in Edinburgh and will definitely be back.

Second visit in 3 weeks. Delicious pizza and loved the antipasti which we shared as a starter on this visit.
No room for dessert although last time we skipped starters and had tiramisu and banoffi pie which were both excellent.
Really friendly staff, very welcoming.
We will definitely return.

Very small place makes for a terrific atmosphere. Staff are great and the chef's produce a terrific meal for you. I had a Pizza and my date had a Carbonara, the ingredients tasted fresh and both meals were of a quality you would expect with such high ratings on here. This was all washed down with a lovely bottle of wine which was recommended to us by the waiter who was very knowledgeable about the produce on offer.

I will definitely be back, absolutely first rate, thank you very much.

This place is a small and cosy restaurant on Leith Walk. Its a bit of a walk from tourist attractions such as the castle however it's well worth it. Pizzas are fresh and delicious and a good size. The service is friendly and the atmosphere warm. We went for Sunday lunch.
