“A home away from home”
Reviewed 7 December 2013 for a stay in November 2013

We arrived at the Greyfriars flat after a long day of travel and what a delight it was to walk into such a cozy and comfortable home away from home. The flat is tastefully refurbished with all the amenities of modern life while retaining the charm of old Edinburgh. It has a great location too. I would unreservedly recommend this flat. it is a real gem.

“Superb”
Reviewed 17 August 2013 for a stay in June 2013

Amazing apartment. Central, cosy and spotlessly clean. The landlord is very friendly and helpful. I was surprised to find he had left bread, milk and some perishable for me which was a very nice touch. I would hope to stay here again. highly recommended

“Superb, Superb, Superb”
Reviewed 4 August 2013 for a stay in July 2013

First Superb is for the location - you can actually see Greyfriars Kirkyard out of the kitchen window - it's just like the Disney movie. Fantastic.
The second Superb is for the quality of the flat - clean, well appointed, tastefully decorated with lots of useful information from the landlord. Excellent.
The third Superb is for the fact that Greyfriars is right in the heart of things - 1 minute from the Grassmarket, but none of the noise, 10 seconds from the National Museaum and 2 minutes from The Meadows for a walk or picnic in the summer.
We're definitely going back.

“A Wee Gem”
Reviewed 29 July 2013 for a stay in June 2013

What a fantastic find. Couldn't have asked for a better location, and the accommodation itself was awesome. Look out the front windows and there, within stones throw, is the National Museum of Scotland, sit at the kitchen table at the back of the apartment, look down on the Greyfriars Kirk, open the window and listen to any number of tour guides giving the history of the Kirk and Greyfriars Bobby to their tour groups. Cross the road to Chambers Street and catch the Number 35 bus to Leith or get off enroute at Holyrood Castle. Just a very short walk across the Geroge IV Bridge and you are at the Royal Mile, and beyond that down the hill another short distance down the Mound is Princes Street, and its shops. Turn right out of the front door and walk 5 mins or less to a supermarket on Middle Meadow Walk. Axel was a star, kept in touch during my visit and was very helpful with information. Plenty of restuarants on the door stop and a pub right next door. Double glazing makes if very quiet. You couldn't asked for more. If I am lucky enough to be able visit Edinburgh again (and I hope I am) I will be definitely staying at Greyfriars Bobby Apartment.

“Excellent homely apartment in great central location”
Reviewed 24 July 2013 for a stay in July 2013

The apartment was homely and modern with great views over to the National Museum of Scotland at the front and Greyfriars Churchyard at the back including Greyfriars Bobby's grave right in view. The booking process and communication was excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed staying in central Edinburgh and such a lovely well-equipped apartment that was good value for money. Would go there again anytime!

“Such a welcoming home-style apartment. Great location & amenities.”
Reviewed 2 June 2013 for a stay in May 2013

Located directly in front of iconic Edinburgh statue, Greyfriars Bobby, this flat is located on the 2nd floor of a lovely old building.

Views directly out the front are of the Museum of Scotland. And, out of the back, a wonderful view of Greyfriars Church.

The kitchen is really well appointed. With nice furnishing touches, local books and a typed out guide by the owner of his favourite restaurants and shops.

The sitting room features a really comfortable sofa, flat screen TV and real fireplace. In the bedroom, there is plenty of storage space & a very comfortable bed. The bedroom has been double glazed, providing added sound protection from the bustling outside world. Very considerate.

Overall, a fantastic centrally located destination from where to base yourself for a holiday or break in the City.
