We arrived really lat that day, and the staff was friendly.
The room was nice and clean, but I didn't know that we had to bring our own toothbrushes...
The shower was a bit small, but still okay.
The best part is the food, nice Scotland breakfast, had a good time.
The building and decoration were beautiful.
I would think it's a nice place to stay for a short getaway.

Thank you, Ariel.

We are really pleased you enjoyed your stay. We do have some toothbrushes at reception - I hope we could provide you with one.

We would love to see you again - remember we have a sister B+B in London and in Dorset!

Incredibly friendly and helpful staff in a quaint hotel very close to the Edinburgh Castle. Clean rooms and comfortable beds and the breakfast is fantastic! Very reasonably priced for the quality! Easy walking distance to Princes Street and the royal mile.

Room Tip: room #s in the 20s are downstairs and don't have the views. All of the upstairs rooms have great...

Six of us stayed at this B&B from 10th to 12th August 2014 as a family treat to see the sights of Edinburgh and the Tattoo.

Wonderful spacious modern rooms, full wifi, very comfy large beds and all mod-cons. Nice bar and free coffee/tea/biscuits all day.

What made it for us was the friendly helpfull service from the staff. They held our bags for us, helped us with printing tickets, held doors open for my Dads wheelchair, gave us tips for getting about and served up delicious and bountiful breakfasts.

All in all a fantastic service and a great stay, fully recommended and we cannot wait to stay again next year.

This is a wonderful little hotel, about 15 minutes walk from the centre of Edinburgh, so quiet. The rooms have a boutique feel to them -we're staying in an accessible room which is a really good size with a wet room shower. The rooms are spotlessly clean & the linens smell fab! The staff are very friendly & happy to help you with whatever queries you may have. This is our first stay in a B+B hotel, but we've enjoyed the experience so much that we've signed up to their loyalty club! Look forward to seeing you soon

We stayed here for 2 nights during our trip to the UK. We had booked the hotel through Expedia but were unable to book for 2 nights in the same room. We decided to book a regular room for the first night and their larger room for the 2nd as we really liked the reviews we had read. When we arrived, they were nice enough to upgrade us to the larger room for both nights so we wouldn't have to move.

The location is perfect as it is very close to Prince Street and all the local attractions yet retains the feel of staying in a beautiful residential street.

The room was very large and lovely and very quiet. It was almost surprising to see the number of guests at breakfast as it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. The breakfast was excellent and I have become very fond of haggis since staying here.

If you are looking for a boutique experience of a smaller more intimate hotel, then we would definitely recommend B+B. We'll have to try out their other locations sometime.

Room Tip: great wifi, choose their larger family room if possible

The staff are excellent and could not do enough for us. We stayed in one of the larger rooms at the rear of the hotel with a great view to the north. it was quiet and the bed was large and spacious. The breakfast was one of the best i have ever had in the hundreds of hotels i have stayed in. For the money i dont thibk you can get better. We did not drive so not sure of the parking situ but there seemed to be lots of road space out front. Enjoy

Thank you Adrian. we are really pleased you have enjoyed Value For Money with B+B Edinburgh - it is incredibly important to get this right! Regarding parking - you can park in the area surrounding the property by meter. But the best way to get to Edinburgh is by train. It is super easy to walk to us along Princes Street from Waverley Station or around a £7 fare. We would love to welcome you back - thank you, once again.

My wife and I were on our honeymoon and decided a stay here would be great and we were not dissapointed. The location was amazing. Just a short walk down the road and you are on the main shopping street and along the way are all the resturants. From the main street you can start seeing the attractions in the distance. These being from Edinburgh castle to the Scott monument and so forth. The only downsides are the room we had was an upper level one. The water pressure is very bad. Dribbling showers and unflushable toilet was dissapointing. The elevator is the smallest i have ever seen. It is about big enough for either two people or one person and a bag. The food was great though. You have a menu choice of what you can eat from the basic eggs to hagus which is great for those that want to give a tradition a try. As for the service there is no better in Scotland I promise. While there we had a horrible family tragedy and had no way to get a call home. The staff put an international call through for no charge 3 diffrent times. We could not get a flight until the next day so the staff asked us if we needed food or drinks. They called us a taxi the next day and had it waiting at 5 am. Helped with the bags and were almost in tears themselves. I am forever greatful to these people. They will never dissapoint anyone with this kind of devotion to their customers.

Dear Guest

We are truly grateful that you have taken the time to feedback and we are thrilled to mention that the 'waterworks' difficulties you experienced during your stay last year have since been remedied. The lift is still the same size (!) and is somewhat charming if a little slow. But overwhelmingly, we are delighted that we were able to slightly ease a dreadful situation just a little bit. It is not to do with 'customer care', this can be taught but more to do with a genuine 'want to help' and we all hope that your journey home was as peaceful as possible.

We would love to welcome you back - please keep in touch!
