Description: At the heart of Edinburgh's trendy Stockbridge, Hector's is an eclectic mix of upbeat city pub and warm, friendly village local. With big tables and an even bigger drinks list, it's the ideal destination for a laidback catch up with your mates. With weary feet from shopping or after a hectic day at work.

We went to Hectors in Stockbridge Edinburgh on Saturday for lunch ,despite the fact the place was busy and there wasn't a lot of staff the service was excellent, the food was good to very good, and the place has a great atmosphere. Two brunch, two pints of amstel & two large wines £35.70. We shall return

Have been here several times since moving to edinburgh. Great range of beers and other drinks. Good service and reasonable standard bar food. Eclectic clientele make for good people watching. Quiz night on Sunday is something we'll be going back for.

Popped in for a few beers and planned to eat. Service slow and beers available not what is advertised. Barman said that taps had never been updated. Nice enough atmosphere and decided to stay a while as there was a "Fun Quiz" with a £30 voucher as prize.

Fortunately the quiz was free as otherwise it was a complete shambles with regulars cheating on mobile phones and being allowed to hand in answers 5-10 minutes after each round finished (having checked internet for answers)

Quiz was won by a regular who also seemed to be a mate of the quizmaster. Left without eating as clearly place is run for the staff's mates coonvenience

first i would say i love pinting here. great bar, always lively and good selection of grog. popped in for lunch one day whilst shopping in stockbridge. £16 for soup, sandwich and a coffee!!!!

This would be possibly tolerable if all 3 were out of this world. sadly the sandwich was a massive let down. pastrami, mustard and saurkraut, almost a ruben and 3 ingredients that should all pack a punch. mustard had no heat, pastrami was flavourless and the saurkraut similar. coffee was nice and soup was perfectly pleasant but should be doing so much better for the price

So friendly and delicious food, dog and child friendly, wish that I had had more time to relax but had a train to catch!
