“Cosy pub!”
Reviewed 1 November 2012 via mobile

Stopped here for lunch on our last day in Edinburgh. Very nice pub, friendly service, tasty food and a great pint (or 2!). Would definitely return.

“Good enough to merit a second visit”
Reviewed 10 October 2012

Was it the best pub food I’ve ever tasted in my life? No, but it was very good. Good enough that we went back a second time.

The staff was friendly and offered great service, the atmosphere was warm and light and the music just right.

Prices are reasonable: The Maggie Dickson burger costs 9£, and the full rack of ribs costs 11£.

“Good food and great service”
Reviewed 2 October 2012

Three of us stopped in after visiting Edinburgh Castle for dinner yesterday. The place wasn't very busy but the two bartenders were very friendly and helpful. Their service was great. The food and beer were good. I would definitely go back.

“Great place to stop in for a drink and pub food.”

Charming pub on Grassmarket - servers were friendly and helpful. Food was good - what you would expect in a pub. Would go back.
