“The best Starbucks location of them all!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 September 2013

Loacated on Princes St - right opposite Edinburgh Castle - on the second floor with big windows. Oh my god what a view! I don't know what I enjoyed the most- my coffe or the view - but they were both very good!

The staff were also very friendly, and the quality of the coffee was excellent.

“Bad coffee”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 September 2013

Starbucks is a cafe.

It serves coffee. This is why it exists.

A lot of people seem to like Starbucks, so clearly it is doing something right.

However, I would suggest that these are people who buy the wine they see advertised during episodes of Friends or (insert current blurb).

My main problem with Starbucks is that on each visit, I have purchased a coffee (black americano) only to wish I was at home, drinking a NICER coffee that I had made.

I like the food and drink I consume to taste nice. I know this may seem picky, given the current economic climate, but I'm not ashamed.

Unfortunately Starbucks coffee tastes, to me, of hot water. It is like the Tennants lager / Budweiser of the coffee world. With no real flavour to comment on it retains an inoffensive air.

It just seems boring and pointless. So next time someone wants to meet you in a Starbucks, I would recommend bringing your own coffee.

However, I'm not entirely sure on how the management would view this.

“Venti Caramel Coffee Frappuccino”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 May 2013 via mobile

It too a month or there abouts for all the staff to know what I drink and what my name is. All year round, even in the snow, I order the same thing. Friendly staff, and always up for a chat and throwing around smiles. They don't even mind if I stay there for a long time (record 5 hours). Depending on the barista, I sometimes get a wee bit of extra cream-makes my day!
All other branches pale into insignificance in my opinion.
