The bar looks warm and inviting from the outside with a witty sign to make you smile before entering. The young waitress had a genuine smile and was attentive and very pleasant.
There is a good range on the menu from the mini mains right up to the steak which i had with handcut chips opposed to the skinny fires. I choose the red wine sauce to go with my rare steak and it did not disappoint. The steak was cook to perfection! For me the star on the board was the big juicy fresh onion rings! Crunchy batter sweet onions..... superb!
After my steak i had the poached pear with pistachio cake OMG that pistachio cake is superb!!
there was a good steady flow of customers. Do I have any complaints/ criticisms no its more an observation and personal preference..... there is nothing wrong with a good old white round plate..... the boards are hard to eat off , i would have like to have tipped my red wine sauce over my fine steak.
