Lovely hotel I'd come back too. Shower good, food was excellent, staff extra friendly, and had a comfortable sleep. Over all I'd recomend it. Location good as next to rail station and buses into town.

Stayed at Edinburgh Park - the Gyle for a two night stopover in the City. Very quick easy check-in, room was modern and very clean with air-conditioning/ Heat controlling, flat screen tv, tea/coffee making facilities etc.. bed was comfy and had really good night sleep, was really quiet no noise from anywhere, not even from the train station which was visible from our window. We ate in the Restaurant for both evening meal and for breakfast, excellent food and staff were really friendly. Train runs from outside the hotel which is great, takes about 10 minutes to reach Edinburgh city centre, return fare cost about £5.50 an adult for a return ticket. Overall really pleased with this premier inn and would definately go there again.

Went to beautiful Edinburgh in October 2012 on a solo independent travel for the first time.
My choice for this hotel was the price. Very good price, much cheaper than hotels in the city centre. Edinburgh city centre is not very big and easy to walk around and enjoy the sights, so what you save staying there compared to a more expensive hotel, allows you to buy the train tickets and bus tickets. There is a TESCO very near so you can use the take away which is cheaper than eating at the hotel. Single rooms are excellent and sleep quality is by far one of the best I ever had. There's wifi with Voip, but only 30 minutes are free. The other 23:30 hours aren't expensive though. Easy to reach from the airport (bus+light walk). There's a Costa cafe with good expresso. Without any doubt a great hotel not only for solo travellers, but also for anyone travelling for business or with the family.

No surprises in the room layout, but clean, comfortable room, big comfy bed and enough TV and radio channels to keep me happy. Thyme restaurant food was fine, service a tad slow but very friendly. Great location directly opposite Edinburgh Park station where I needed to be early the following day. As usual the breakfast is fine and amazing value on the continental version. Bit weird checking in via screens and my surname only, so you don't get the sell about a good night guarantee. Only bit that grated was the hum of someone else's aircon/heating as I tried to get to sleep having turned mine off because it was too noisy, and in doing so the room got a bit stuffy overnight.

Everything has been covered by previous reviews. It is brand new in a quiet location right next to a main line rail station.
For the post code, they give EH12 9HA which should get you there. From the A8 (Gogar) roundabout, follow Edinburgh Park rail station signs.
Automated check in, friendly helpful staff, Costa Coffee shop, proximity to the main line station, the list goes on. Even on Sunday, you can get a train from Waverley after 11pm.
In 2014, the tram system should be up and running. They will also pick up at Edinburgh Park, but will drop off on Princes St.
With an early cheap booking price and fast inexpensive rail link, this Premier Inn is well worth a look.Cheaper than city hotels, most of which either don't have, or charge for parking,it offers a city break on a budget. I would definitely return.
At the time of our stay, Premier had a "guaranteed sleep" offer with a refund if your sleep was unsatisfactory!.
PS Just over the rail line is the Novotel where I stayed last year. You might get a good price here if you book early plus it has a lovely pool/spa in the basement.
Spoilt for choice in this area.!!
