“Fantastic Location and Friendly Hotel”
Reviewed 27 March 2012

Fantastic Place to stay. Location is spot on. 10 mins walk from Waverley Station. Rose Street and St George Street behind the hotel. Not far to walk for pubs and restaurants. Staff at the hotel very friendly and polite when we checked in and when we left. Rooms very comfortable and spacious. Would definately stay here again on my next trip to Edinburgh which i hope to book asap :)

This brand new Premier Inn located on Princes Street is directly opposite the small park at the base of Edinburgh castle. The view from the hotel window is spectacular and the position is right in the heart of the city with the train station just a couple of hundred yards away.
If you are visiting Edinburgh for the first time you couldn't do better than this hotel as it's surrounded by all the top stores and boutiques, historic buildings and the university.

Rooms are spacious and as usual, the bed and bedding is so comfortable I swear I never sleep anywhere as well as I do in a Premier Inn room. The restaurant is spacious and has wonderful prints of old Edinburgh decorating the walls.

What made our stay extra nice was the staff - we received a warm and friendly welcome and check-in was super efficient. Special thanks go to Nicole, the young Canadian receptionist, who went out of her way to accommodate our request for a castle view for all our party. Also, a special mention to Sarah, the young French lady in the restaurant/coffee shop who was so cheerful and nothing seemed too much trouble for her.
This is a brilliant place to stay in Edinburgh and you would be hard-pushed to find a cheaper hotel with such a wonderful location.

Room Tip: Request a room with the view of the castle, it's a spectacular sight.

I booked this hotel online and was slightly concerned that i couldnt find any online reveiws but as i discovered when i arrived this hotel has been opened for only 2 weeks now . This hotel is an ideal location for shopping and sightseeing. We arrived at 12 noon and check in was 2pm but staff kept our bags so we could hit the shops. We returned at 4pm and check in was simple and speedy , we had booked a twin room and were given a room with a double and single the room was light , airy and immaculetly clean. my friend and i then headed out arriving back at 11.30pm and discovered we had run out of toilet paper but a phonecall to reception sorted that in 5 minutes. We paid for full breakfast on both mornings and u really can eat as much as you like. overall i would recoment this hotel to anyone who asks we couldnt fault a thing . most importantly the staff are all very helpful and chatty .

We have just returned today from a one night stay in the Premier Inn Edinburgh and the whole experience was brilliant. We were in Scotland as my neice had an interview at a University and we had booked a tripple room. The staff were excellent, we received a warm welcome on arrival and the staff in the restaurant were great. The rooms were clean and cosy. The only down side with the room was that there was no shower gel in the dispenser but we had brought some with us so not a problem. We had bed and breakfast and everything that you could want for breakfast was available and they even asked if we wanted anything not on the buffet that we only had to ask. The hotel is situated opposite the gardens and really central to everything and no noise from the street. We had a meal last night in the restaurant and the choice was great and each meal delicious and very reasonbly priced. Our flight home was late afternoon and we were able to leave our cases at reception, nothing was a problem to the staff. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and would stay again.

This is a brand new hotel that literally just opened 3 weeks ago. Very convenient located near the Waverley station about a 10 minute walk on Princess Street, the main shopping street. The hotel is located next to a Starbuck and there is no outside sign, so be careful or you can miss it. The Royal Mile is only a nice 5-10 minute walk from the hotel. The rooms are small and very simple; there are no closets or any other luxury amenities, this is as basic as you can get, since this was a brand new hotel everything was spotless. The staff was very helpful and the service was great. The £7.99 Premier Breakfast per adult + 1 Child for free is a very good deal, and the breakfast itself is very good. Your first 15 Wi-Fi minutes are free any minute after you have to pay.

This is a newly opened Premier Inn, right in the middle of Princes Street. Easy access for shops, train and bus routes as well as Edinburgh site seeing.
The rooms were comfortable and quiet as you would expect - especially considering the hotel is in the middle of the city near the tram works.
The staff were very helpful and the view from the restaurant is really nice - overlooking the castle and the old town.
I will stay there again as I travel to Edinburgh regularly on business, it was great.
It was a little tricky to find, but basically it is a few yards after Castle Street heading towards the west end and near to the HSBC bank.

Room Tip: Ask for a room which is not facing out on to Princes Street as this could be noisy!
