“Great hotel in a great location.”
Reviewed 12 April 2012

We arrived at the hotel at 8.30am and asked the lady on reception if we could leave our luggage there until we could check in. She was fine with this and she made us feel very welcome. When we returned later in the day, check in was quick and again the reception staff were friendly. Our room/bathroom was very clean. Our view from the room looked on to a small courtyard. Food in the restaurant was good and the all you can eat breakfast is great value for money. The great thing about this hotel is the location. Its right in the city centre. The hotel is opposite the castle (the view of the castle from the hotel is amazing) and shops/pubs/restaurants are on the doorstep. Princes Park is across the road. Overall we had a fantastic break in Edinburgh and would definitely stay at this Premier Inn again.

Brand new hotel so its mostly fresh and clean. On arrival we waited 10minutes before being spoken to. Got to the bedroom and first impressions were great. Went for dinner in the bar downstairs but had a bit of a wait and a mixed up food order, staff were friendly but chatting to each other more than their guests. Upon bed time we found make up stains on our bed sheets, these for sure had not been changed from the previous night!

1 night 08 April 12, from our usual 5* Edinburgh we decided to stay at Premier Inn's new Princes Street hotel. From booking online and my first call to Laura, this hotel had all the qualities we required for a short stay. Friendly, comfortable and without question a quality experience which left us without hesitation to return in the future. Our spacious high floor room offered a superb view of Edinburgh Castle which you can also see from the restaurant. The reception/restaurant staff are the best!

Don't hesitate .... go see for yourself!

Room Tip: For couples, highest floor with castle view.

I didn't believe the adverts but I know know you get a quality nights sleep, the beds are excellent, the staff were really helpful and friendly but not in your face. The food was excellent, do have the eat-all-you-can breakfast and if, like me you were staying with three boys then it pays. You have everything on your doorstep and there is masses to do. We are beginning to wish we had more time here.

Room Tip: You don't need a car either, but be prepared for hills - seriously. This hotel is in the perfec...

Typical hotel where you don't plan to spend a lot of time in the hotel. Only issues I had were the fact that they gave me an accessible room (for wheelchairs, which I do not use) but didn't bother to put in a chair for the desk (I can see them not putting a chair in for the desk when used by a person with a wheelchair but that wasn't me) and that my room faced the courtyard of nothingness (would have been nice to have a view of the castle or something for the price I paid). The one thing I can say is that hotel receptionist was wonderful and helpful and helped make my stay more pleasant that otherwise would have been.

booked a two day break in a family room at a cost of £156. hotel is almost brand new and you can tell as everything is fresh, clean and tidy. location perfect on princess street with glorious views of the castle. room had everything we needed and breakfast (extra £8 each-kids eat free) was great and well worth the money. staff were all very helpful and friendly. only negative was no on site parking with nearest being on castle terrace which is a 10 min walk. that said hotel can validate your ticket for reduced cost of £10 per 24 hrs which is reasonable for city centre parking. we would definately stay here again as the location is great and it's reasonably priced.

Visited with group of friends for two day break.Wished it had been longer! Although the record breaking sunshine was a huge bonus this hotel was "first class" All the staff were professional, friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived.Only open for three weeks therefore everywhere was pristine with fabulous views of the castle whilst dining in.We had the breakfast and sampled the evening meal deal. Well worth the cost, great value and perfect food.(not worth trawling the streets for good restaurants try the hotel you will be most satisfied)
Location opposite beautiful park ,near pubs and restaurants and in middle of main shopping road. Perfect for all! Rooms double glazed so no noise and you are not aware of being in such a busy location until you step outside.Although no opening windows there is airconditioning available very clean and comfortable beds ect. Would stay again and definately recommend.THANKYOU TO ALL CONCERNED

Room Tip: Ask for room with view of castle if required otherwise think you would be satisfied with any room. W...
