I was in Edinburgh on business. Great location in the heart of the city with friendly and helpful staff. The room was comfortable and clean and the breakfast was great. No complaints. Great value for money for a weekend break or a business trip. My only minor criticism is that it would have been nice to know about the discount car park on Castle Terrace beforehand (would have saved me going round and round the city centre trying to find a cheap NCP).

Would definitely stay again next time I come to Edinburgh.

My Wife and I have just spent 3 nights at the Premier Inn, Princes Street. We found the staff at the Premier Inn to be very helpful and friendly. They are willing to help to make your stay easier. The location is brilliant, and the restaurant has views of Edinburgh Castle. The Hotel in no more than 10 minutes from Waverly station, and that was a gentle walk. The meal deal is fantastic, breakfast(all you can eat) and a 3 course evening meal, with a drink for £22 per person.

When we visit Edinburgh next, we will definitely be booking this hotel again.

Room Tip: We had room 601, which is at the back of the hotel, so it is quieter, but at the moment, there is no...

Good location in Princes Street. One of our rooms had a view of Edinburgh Castle. Very clean and rooms had all you needed. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: Ask for room with a view of the castle.

My partner and I recently stayed at Premier Inn Princess Street and we were very impressed! The hotel is in an excellent location, a perfect base to explore the sights of Edinburgh. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were clean, comfortable and a good size. I called a few days before and requested a quite room overlooking the castle and they accomodated our request - we had a lovely room (619) with a great view of the castle! We will definately stay again on our return to Edinburgh.

The location of the hotel is great ,but keep in mind princes street is mainly shops ,if you are looking for the night life you will need to look elsewhere in the city .The work that is going on along princes street is something else to consider ,buses ,taxi dont run down street ,on saying that transport is not too far away .
Checkin at hotel is simple enough ,there is an automatic checkin machine ,staff were on hand to help if you had any problems.
We had a room on the same floor as the reception ,room was plenty big and was clean and tidy . View from window was not great we looked over a dentist and some nesting pigeons . We were disturbed by what sounded like a refuse truck each night . I would suggest that you ask for a room overlooking the castle .
We had problems with a toilet in our room ,this kept us awake the first night .The issue with toilet was sorted midday the following day .We did ask to be refunded for this night and i have to say we were refunded without any real problems .
As previously mentioned you get 30 min wifi daily and you can purchase more time via reception (24 hours £3.00 )
We did the £22 meal deal , which is fine for a night maybe two but thereafter the menu gets boring ,so if you are planning a long stay ,keep you options open and decide on a daily basis .
The staff were all very friendly and very helpful . We felt the restaurant could have been better staffed as at times they were over stretched . Helen in the restaurant was very efficient and helpful . Try and get a seat by the window in the restaurant the view is gorgeous .

Room Tip: Room overlooking castle

This is a new hotel located right on Princess Street and across from the park and the castle. If you're into shopping, this is the place to stay. A short walk will get you to the old town or you can walk down to the station and catch a hop on/hop off bus. Right behind the hotel is Rose street where you can find a load of bars and pubs. Since the place is relatively new, the food menu is small and they have a limited selection of beers and spirits. The staff was incredibly friendly. The people all over Edinburgh were very friendly. It is a bit pricey but it is in a very central location. I would stay there again if I make it back to Edinburgh.
