Our room looked directly over the Princes Street gardens to the castle and was spotlessly clean and well maintained.
In my experience the staff at premier inns are always helpful but the team at this hotel were by far the best I have encountered anywhere - they were outstanding in their professionalism, helpfulness and willingness to offer prompt assistance without being asked. I recommend it.

Room Tip: Some rooms have a great view of castle. No street noise in front facing room.

I was working in and around Edinburgh for a few days and this hotel was ideally situated. I had stayed in Edinburgh before, but had not known the hotel was there- sheltered between shops on Princes Street.

A 10 minute walk from the train station and directly across the road from Princes Street gardens and with stunning views of the castle.

On entering the lobby you take a lift up to the second floor where reception is located.

The rooms were very comfortable, the staff were friendly and efficient, the restaurant was well appointed and the food was wonderful.

An ideal location to carry out my work in Edinburgh, but would be an ideal base to explore the city. I will be returning for a leisure break.

The location of the hotel cannot really be bettered, right at the west end of Princes street and with perfect views of the castle (only a few rooms have a castle view so it is worth making it a point to ask for a castle view when you book). The breakfast was good and the rooms comfortable, but the hotel's biggest asset is its staff, who are friendly, courteous, cheerful (not always easy in a service industry!) and very helpful. Deserving of special mention are the duty manageress, Helen, and her colleague, Freya - nothing was too mich trouble for them. I recommend this hotel strongly.

Room Tip: Asl for a castle view when you book. One cannot be guaranteed, but if you don't ask, you may n...

Fantastic central location, within easy walking distance of the station and all of the sights. Easy to find, good facilities and good breakfasts too! Can't fault it at all. The bus stops to out of town locations are just outside the door or across the road so travelling is easy. All the staff were lovely and the accomodation was quiet, even at night.

Bad points out of the way first: it's difficult to find this place! To help you, it's adjacent to the end of the castle and there are bus shelters just outside. It's between New Look and Starbucks.

No ground floor. You are up 60 odd steps to reception, a bit awkward for those of us who cannot use lifts and have heavy luggage with us

Skimpy on in-room tea/coffee. Only enough for me to make either one cup of coffee or one cup of tea.

Other than this, it's a typical Premier Inn. You will arrive and find that your room is ready and it's clean. You will find that the staff are generally helpful and eager to see if you are happy with their service, and you will find the food yummy!

The location is great for the train station and for shopping in the famous Princes St.

I would recommend it and I would stay again though I do think for a budget hotel they are way overpriced for a one night stay.

Room Tip: The hotel is opposite the castle - when booking, you might want to ask for a room which has a view o...

Stayed here for 3 nights in July, picked the hotel for its location near to train station.

Did not disappoint. Faultless stay, friendly and helpful staff, good food, nice clean room. Perfect location for all city centre sights, lovely view of the castle from the restaurant.

Highly recommended.
