We stayed here May 12 through May 18, and could not have had a more pleasant stay. John and his staff were very professional and made sure our whole party (we had 5 rooms), were treated very well. Customer service certainly came first. A bonus was the incredible view of Edinburgh Castle! We easily walked to the Royal Mile and all the local attractions. This was a once in a lifetime opportunity and I am very pleased we stayed here.

We stayed at this very centrally located Premier Inn over the May long weekend and had a great stay.

It is right on Princes Street with shops, restaurants, buses and taxi's right on your doorstep. It's a quick and easy walk to all the main attractions like Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile, and the bus to HMY Britannia stops right outside.

The beautiful park across the road is a great stop for a coffee with a top view of the castle.

The rooms itself was probably the smallest of the Premier Inns we stayed in, and ours had no view. But as always, they are clean and comfortable and very quiet which is all we were expecting.

Breakfast was great and the staff were always helpful and friendly.

I love Premier Inn because you get a room with all the modern comforts (flat screen TV, tea & coffee, super comfy bed and spotlessly clean room) for a fair price. If that sounds like what you are after, then I would definitely recommend!

15m walk to touristy Royal Mile. Quiet. Nearby parking (but not onsite and extra $). Good all-you-can-eat breakfast Very clean but generic. Perfect as a spot to crash, get a good night's sleep and then spend the day sight-seeing. Convenient enough for a quick trip back to freshen up before dinner.

Fantastic budget hotel with very friendly staff. Rooms were huge and had everything we need for our one night stay. Close to all local attractions. Would stay again . Food in the main restaurant was tasty and good value for money.

We have just spent a couple of nights at the Premier Inn in Princes Street, Edinburgh. Firstly, I must warn that the hotel is located in part of Princes Street where only buses, taxis, cycles and from 31 May 2014, the new Tram system. Premier Inn have a parking arrangement with the NCP in Castle Terrace, currently this will cost you £10 per-24 hours (or part there of), but be prepared for a 5-10 minute walk with your luggage, uphill until you reach the flatness of Princes Street itself. The welcome awarded us by Rebecca (although every member of staff we encountered was well trained in customer service) was first class. Our room overlooked the majesty of Edinburgh Castle, but unfortunately our mattress was not up to the normal comfort level, leading to us both having a poor nights sleep, triggering our first ever refund under the "Good Night Guarantee" without a quibble. Thankfully, the mattress was also sorted, giving us a great night's sleep on our second night, without the need for a room change. We ordered the Premier Breakfast for both days, a great way to start the day, before hitting the city streets.

Room Tip: Request a Castle View, if one is available on arrival

Stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting Edinburgh for a friend's birthday. Hotel very well located on Princes Street, easy to find, located between Starbucks Coffee Shop and New Look. You take the lift to floor 2 and you are in reception which is manned 24 hours daily. The restaurant and bar are also located here with a beautiful view of the castle. Our room was ready within 5 minutes, we were allocated a castle view room on the 3rd floor, I liked the fact that you couldn't access the rooms without having a room key. Room was spacious enough for 2 adults and was clean and very warm. Staff were all professional and couldn't do enough to help you and were happy to recommend pubs and restaurants if required. Breakfast was fabulous. Drinks in the bar were a bit steep in price compared to other places we tried. Would highly recommend this accommodation and I will stay here when next in Edinburgh.
