My wife and I travelled to Scotland recently for the Commonwealth Games. We decided to use Edinburgh as our base. We usually stay at high end hotels but did not want to spend too much money on this occasion and opted for this Premier Inn Hotel. The hotel has a good location on Princes Street and is just 5-10 minutes walk from Waverley Station.

We were pleasantly surprised by how comfortable this hotel is. Our stay was made much more pleasurable by the warm welcome that we received and the friendliness of all the staff that we had interactions with.

I would definitely consider staying in a Premier Inn Hotel again.

Softer beds would be good! Other than that an excellent stay with great staff. Was offered a refund on breakfast even though I only mentioned the bed in passing, not expecting a reaction, so many thanks for that.

Stay in the family room with a queen, sofa bed and a extra bed. The extra bed was too hard to sleep...I requested for an extra blanket to put on the of the bed to make it more comfortable. The lift lobby got no air-con so you just can't wait to go into yr room. Edinburgh Waverley station is quite a distance from the hotel. 5min walk to the Tram station that bring you to the airport.

Room Tip: Request for castle view room but expect some noise from the street.

Highly recommended for a stay in Central Edinburgh, easy walk to shops bars and restaurants nearby.
We stayed for the annual Tattoo, a fabulous event and would recommend it to all, we will certainly go again.
Well located for buses and trains, the tram also runs to and from the airport as do numerous bus services.
The staff at princes are to be credited for friendliness efficiency and service.
Highly recommended

All round excellence, no problem to small to deal with. The view from our room was of the magnificent castle. Great breakfast. Excellent value for money.. Location was brilliant, samck bang in the middle of most attarctions with only a 10-15 minute walk to them. Right outside the hotel are transport links to most of the tourist sites. Loved it!!

Stayed for three nights for our visit to the Commonwealth Games, choosing Edinburgh because of extortionate prices in the Glasgow area. We decided to make the whole trip using public transport and the location made this very easy - close to trains, trams and buses. The hotel was all that we have come to expect from Premier Inn - a spacious, quiet, clean and modern room, a comfortable bed and good food at a reasonable price. Our stay was vastly enhanced by the warm welcome that we received from the team on duty and the excellent service that they delivered throughout our visit. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Edinburgh.

In UK just about any hotel including Bed and Breakfast Places are adequate. I would say this about Premier Inn. A very comfortable stay. Being located on Princess Street - everything was walking distance.

Room Tip: Away from the street.
