Thanks for great service and would definitely stay here again. Nice and friendly staff, also convenient to shops and transport. Very clean room and amazing bed, only problem i could not sleep due to people making noise outside.

When we first arrived, staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room was very smart and spotless! The value for money was great, especially for being near Princes Street. The room was free from any noise outside of the hotel. I would stay again and recommend to others.

The hotel is very central, our room offered wonderful views across Princes Gardens and to the castle/old town. Beds were comfortable, friendly staff, and clean bathroom. However, the entrance to the hotel is rather dingy, in a back alley. A light also blew up in the bathroom, which gave us a fright. This can happen anywhere though, and was not the fault of the hotel. Overall, very pleasant experience, and you get what you pay for - a budget hotel room, average quality, but excellent views in a prime location within Edinburgh city centre. Would definitely stay again!

Room was lovely! So big and totally spotless! Only downside to the room was the wobbly shelf behind the sink, that made all of the cosmetics I had on it fall off when I leant on it. The lady on reception was so friendly on check in, offering recommendations and directions etc. The hotel is easy to find but down a dark alley which made me a little nervous being a young girl on my own, but taxis can drop off at the door so its ok. Stayed here while meeting collegues but would return for a leisurely weekend away!

Stayed one night in a family room. Hotel is in a great location, convenient for Waverley station and city centre restaurants and tourist attractions. Staff very friendly and helpful, room new, clean and spacious. Hotel itself very quiet. Only downside, which is not a criticism of the hotel itself, is the noise from street level, especially late at night ( / very early in the morning...!). We were on second floor - probably better to get a room a little higher up if possible.

Room Tip: Go for the upper floors to reduce noise from street level, especially after pub closing time!

Don't be put off by the dark alley that you have to go down to gain entry to the travelodge, because once you are in the hotel it is worth it. The service, the staff and the rooms were all to a high standard. Anne at reception is of a cheery nature and helps in anyway she can to ensure you have a pleasant stay. The best travelodge i have stayed in.
