Nothing to much to say here, it was to the usual Travelodge standard. Clean tidy rooms, good price and excellent location; near to several tourist attractions and shops. Parking was a slight issue, it was £15 for one one night and a 5/10 minute walk to the hotel which wasn't the end of the world but was a frustration.

Perfect location! Absolutely spotless rooms, there literally was no dirt, not even a spot of dust!
The staff are amazingly welcome, the cleaners always stop what there doing to wish you a great day.
Rooms are very spacious with really comfortable beds!
The location is spot on! Right next to the train station and in the centre of everything.
Don't let the entrance put you off, although it's literally a back ally way, there's never anyone there or lingering around (even early hours of the morning) completely safe!
Definitely recommend this hotel to anyone!

Don't let the appearance of the entrance which is down a small alley/lane put you off. The room was clean, spacious and beung on the 5th floor gave a great view. Staff are friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for getting around the city centre. Would definately stay here again...even with the grim entrance area.

Stayed at multiple Travelodges across the UK and rate the Princes Street Edinburgh amongst the best. Perfect location across from Waverly train station and bang in the middle of the city centre. Location had me concerned initially about noise at night but the triple glazing worked a treat. Outside entrance to hotel not inspiring - down a small messy alley but once inside looked good. Staff really friendly and helpful which was handy as first trip to the city - had some good suggestions for sites/best bars. Recently refurbished so everything spotless and in good order. One minor gripe, windows in room would not open and no aircon soroom did geta little warm but not overly so. So, really good location, in really good condition and would I go back? Oh yes!

My wife, 2 sons and I booked a 3-night stay as we were visiting Edinburgh for a family wedding. This hotel was the most economical stay on offer. The location was excellent, the view from Room 509 could not have been better and the room had masses of space. The access to the hotel was awful, down an alley and surrounded by rubbish bins from the rear entrance to stores opposite - but this was a small price to pat for all that was good. Only the double bed was made on our second day and loo-roll was not replaced - but again not a deal breaker. The staff were very friendly and I would certainly stay here again in this kind of scenario

A welcoming place to stay, just off Princess street and the shops.
Finding the Travelodge was a mission as there is no parking but eventually managed to park nearby. (It must be noted that this is mentioned on the website). A truly warm welcome awaits you and the check in short and easily completed, staff offered to help with baggage, told us 'tourist' information and really did do the extra mile for us during our stay.
The view from the room was not appealing as there wasn't one but don't let that distract you from the fact that you are just off Princes Street and all the views, walks, parks, shops etc, and if you really want you can visit the castle which is the big stone building sat on a rock...

Stayed here for the Edinburgh Marathon which my husband ran. We chose to stay here due to the competitive price and the prefect central locations. We were given a large family room which had views over to the other side of the city past the train station. Obviously you weren't meant to go out on the balcony as there was a broken lock trying to prevent you doing this, but we couldn't help but go out and have a look! The main entrance was down a bit of a dodgy ally but it was ok. Very comfy bed and a very enjoyable stay. Would definitely stay here again on our next trip to the city.

Room Tip: Family rooms have the best views.
