First experience of a Travelodge and we were not disappointed. The staff were friendly, the hotel was very central and easy to find, the room was spotless, with everything we needed. The whole place was very quiet and we got a great night's sleep. Can recommend 100%.

Ideally situated for the city centre. Not suitable to get to by car, no parking nearby. Difficult to get to by car due to one way systems. Ideal for the train station, buses or trams. Cost was high, £186 for 1 night which is an example of profiteering on nearby events.

A very clean hotel, central to Edinburgh being within walking distance of the train station. Hotel stay only marred by the very narrow single beds in a disabled room, making it a bit dodgy trying to turn overi in the night. Staff very friendly. Lots of night-time noise from tourists and workers (road cleaners, etc), but problem solved with closing windows tightly.

Had a very poor nights sleep in a hot stuffy room, as our bedroom overlooked the pubs in the street below and therefore suffered a lot of noisy revellers drinking into the early hours, then disturbed again by early morning singers approx 8am. It's possibly not always that bad as we did visit the weekend of the Tattoo - but even so, felt the room was very overpriced at £140 for the night, excluding breakfast!

I thought I had stay some bad hotels, but this Travelodge was by many miles the worst ever. the place was dirty, unsafe and overall awful. And money they charged for the room goes beyond daylight robbery!!!

This hotel has the biggest family which I have ever seen at Travelodge hotels. Our sons have never bored in the room. There are enough space to move and to play. You can access to the rooms with your pram easily. Rooms which are looking the street have nice view. And the location is nice also.
Only the entrance of the hotel is very ugly. The entrance isn't on the Princes Street. You should pass from very bad lane to access the entrance.

Room Tip: Rooms which are looking the street have nice view.

We stayed one night here during our trip to Scotland. The hotel was very well located near the Royal Mile. Very neat, clean and well maintained. Good value for money. With the 'extra' bed, our kid also could sleep very comfortably also. Would recommend this place for a comfortable night's sleep

Room Tip: Ask for room on the higher floor. Convenient but paid Public car Parking available behind the hotel
