“Great Stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 April 2014 via mobile

First time in Scotland, visited Edinburgh for my birthday weekend. The Conifers is a lovely homely B&B, spotlessly clean, good breakfast and friendly hosts. We had room 4 which is extremely comfortable. Would recommend to friends.

The en suite room was clean, big and warm during the night. It has a seating area, a little fridge, a big TV and the toilet with shower.
The breakfast was not buffet but a choose between Scottish full breakfast, continental and vegetarian. You have to choose the the and the hour the night before as it is fresh cooked. The timetable is quite narrow but for it was not a problem.
We park on the street in front of the house. It was not a problem during the weekend but not sure during week days.
Really quiet and friendly environment.
Around 30 minutes walking to the real city center. I think that the bus11 takes you to the center and there is a bus stop just in front of the house.
David was always friendly and helpful, thank you!!!

Had a lovely stay room was clean and the decor was nice it was also quiet. The bed was comfy which helped for a good nights sleep. The scottish breakfast was lovely and there was a good choice for breakfast. It was easy to walk into Edinburgh or you can get a bus across the road. David was very helpful with any information about where to eat or any of the attractions. Will definitely be staying here again. Good value for money

We had alovely stay at Conifers. David was managing alone as his wife was away, but that didn't seem to phase him. We had a lovely breakfast and David was very knowledgeable about the local area and attractions we may find interesting in Edinburgh. The rooms were clean and quiet, the beds comfortable and the breakfast delicious. The bus stop (to get into the city)was directly across the road and shops and restaurants were an easy 15 minute walk away. If we're ever lucky enough to be in that part of the world again we would definitely stay at Conifers again.

Room Tip: Room 1 is smaller with very small bathroom but is on ground floor. Room 4 is large with settee and...

This is the first b&b I have stayed in for years as I would usually choose a hotel. I was pleasantly surprised. Room was good, although the shared bathroom was a little small. You can walk into the city centre in less than 20 mins. There is free car parking on the street which is an added bonus in a city. The room was clean and comfy. Breakfast was ok and cooked to order, there was a good choice. Overall excellent value for money.

We had a wonderful stay here.
the location is good, bus stop is right in front of the house. it only takes about 10 minutes walking to the Carlton Hill.
the room is cozy, though bathroom is a little small and the drain seems not working well.
bed is comfortable. Scottish breakfasts are fabulous.

Spent 3 nights here during a short trip to Edinburgh. Easy to find with lots on street parking available. The room was very comfortable and quiet. The bathroom is a little cosy, but entirely functional. David was an extremely helpful host and the cooked Scottish breakfast was fabulous. Many thanks,

Room Tip: Bus connections from Leith walk take you right into the city centre in 10 minutes, or walk in 20 min...
