We really enjoyed the Chester Residence while we stayed there for a week this summer. We were amazed by the level of service provided by staff. The apartment was very beautiful, spacious and clean. The location was close to the city center and city sights. Very quiet at night compared to staying in Princes street with all the tourists and noise.

I would definitely stay here again next time I'm in Edinburgh.Thank you for a wonderful stay.

From the minute we arrived we were delighted with everything. What a treat to stay in such wonderful, spacious accommodation. The welcome, efficiency and friendliness of the staff were a joy. If only there were more places around the world as good as this. Thanks to everyone for a very special few days In Edinburgh.

A huge heartfelt Thank you to Ian, Rory, Ed, Anna and everyone else at the Chester Residence. They not only made our anniversary but also our first stop in Scotland truly unforgettable. We have stayed at many fine hotels but this one really takes the cake. The level of service and attention to detail was the best we have had. They really made us feel special and went all out. The room was set up so beautifully on our anniversary night I actually cried upon arrival. In addition to the outstanding service, it was all little things like reasonably priced breakfast, Molton Brown bath products, free DVD's to borrow and free internet that made this hotel above the rest. The hotel itself is in a great location and you can tell that the owner put a lot of thought and money into the apartments. I can't say enough good things. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Room Tip: We stayed in the "owner's residence" and it was amazing. I would recommend getting th...

I cannot find anything bad to say about The Chester Residence. Their attention to detail and customer service is the best I have experienced throughout the 50 countries that I have visited in my life. I was sent to Edinburgh unexpectedly, had no clothes, and they even laundered my attire for free and it was hanging on my door first thing in the morning.

I can honestly say that you will feel like a millionaire staying here, not just in terms of the ambiance and furnishings but also after having tried their wide selection of Molton Brown toiletries.

Don't bother with the main hotels and frequent flyer points that won't get you out of a car park- stay here in stead and enjoy!

We stayed here for only one night but all of us wished we could have stayed on for a week. Every aspect of this place is amazing. The staff could not be more friendly, cheerful or helpful. The decor and design are of an extremely high standard. The hotel bar is cosy and luxurious. The living room and kitchen were massive. The beds are very comfortable. We decided not to go out and the staff ordered a delicious takeaway Indian meal for us which we could eat in our suite which was fantastic as we all just fancied a quiet night in watching DVDs. The breakfast we ordered was extremely good. We were also treated to a free champagne cocktail in the evening. Nothing was too much trouble for the lovely employees. The overall cost of the accommodation is not cheap but you get what you pay for and I reckon Chester Residence is worth every penny.

Room Tip: We were in suite 8E which has a huge living/dining and kitchen area with large widescreen television...

This Hotel combines the level of service of a 5 Star Hotel, with the flexibility of a luxury self catering apartment. From the moment we walked in, the staff couldn't do enough for us and the decor and feel of all the rooms was first class. We stayed in a Grand Apartment and it certainly lived up to it;s name ! Whilst in residence, we were able to check out some of the other apartments and they were all of the same incredibly high standard. The Hotel is also well located in a quiet area of the city but still within easy walking distance of the main attractions.
We shall certainly stay here again when next in Edinburgh, if we can get in that is....

Room Tip: Don't be tempted by the Penthouse, as the top floor is a long way up without a lift.

This was a great experience, from the ease of reservation, spacious room and attentive and friendly staff. I almost don't want to rave - to keep it a secret. Anything we needed, the staff was more than responsive. Value for what you receive.
