Had a 2 night stay and from the moment we arrived until they moment we left there was absolutely nothing I could fault. The staff are friendly and attentive. We arrived a bit early but the room was ready are bags were carried to our apartment and we to top the weekend off we were given a free upgrade. Our room had a massive jacuzzi bath and a cinema room. TVs in all rooms and on-suit with lovely walk in shower room. There were free cocktails and canapés on Saturday evening in the main bar and if you need it 24/7 room service. Plenty of bars and places to eat within walking distance. The Hotel have a small off street car park for £25 per night book it early there's 3 spaces otherwise there's parking on meters at £2 odd per hour. The hotel is not cheap but it's worth it and its value for money. If you are looking to spoil yourself or a loved one you can not go wrong here. The arranged via the hotel back and head massage were also great value for money. Avoid any uncertainty and disappointment if you want a luxury weekend break in Edinburgh this is the place to stay and I hope we will be back

Stayed on Fri 10th Jan 14. In owners resident with own garden, cinema room, huge Jacuzzi with tv. Bed sofa tv's wall paper was all top designer. We never left the room was too good. Fridge had water and milk. Lots tea bags and coffee for coffee machine. Biscuits. Ice bucket full for me arriving. Birthday banners and balloons all over the room free of charge for my birthday. They recommended places to eat and cocktails bars. They bar in main buildings open 24/7 room service available. Everything was perfect. Apartment very cosy. Loved it even although it was expensive. I would go back. Defo an experience. All you need to cook a fab meal and sit at a lovely dining table watch a huge cinema screen. They also gave me a birthday card which was lovely. Heated floors. You name it they had it. Candles, throw overs pillows tables everything you would want not to move. Bath luxuries for free. Towels. Bathrobes. Amazing x

Chester Residence is our first choice in Edinburgh, apartments are amazing, service is brilliant. We have stayed in all types of apartment including the owners armani suit a couple times, needs to be experienced! Without a doubt the best place in Edinburgh.

We spent two nights at the Chester Residence to celebrate my birthday in November.
After reading previous reviews it certainly lived up to our expectations.
We were allocated Penthouse 8/1 (a bit of a climb, but well worth it!). The apartment was absolutely fabulous, beautifully furnished, spacy yet cozy and extremely comfortable.
All the staff were very polite, attentive and made us feel very welcome from the start.

Unknown to me my girlfriend had ordered the Romance Package which was a really nice surprise although there was a slight mix-up with the “turn down” service. This was made up to us by the manager offering compensation, and although a little disappointing it certainly didn’t spoil our stay. So much so we’re looking forward to returning later this month.

It was a complete hassle to book this place because they couldn't complete the transaction on line. I could not give them my cc# over the phone because I only have a cell phone, and they were quite insulting/condescending about my security concerns doing it that way, and said they do it all the time and I'm the only person who had a problem with it. In the end I ended up having to pay to wire funds. Ten minutes before we were scheduled to arrive, they called to ask where we were (a hugely expensive call for me). When we arrived, we were told they had "upgraded" us from the lovely room I reserved to some sort of owner's unit--a dark, basement apartment with no privacy that smelled like cat urine and had wallpaper falling off the walls. Also, the heat was broken and blasting the entire time, but we couldn't open the windows because cats would come in off the street, so we suffered in the heat they simply said was broken (no effort to get it fixed) and got no sleep. Our parents got the lovely room.
