This is one of three restaurants that constantly surprise and delight their customers. The menus change regularly, with customers testing all the dishes. Flavours are mixed in ways that excite and enjoy patrons. Today crab, avocado salad, followed by Greek pulled hogget with tsaziki, tomatoes, onion, feta cheese was just delicious.he had watercress soup with prawns, then pork with chipotle sauce, corn cake and pineapple again surprised and enjoyed. Every time at one of these restaurants is pure enjoyment. Great value for money and super, friendly staff and service.

A really good restaurant where the staff are friendly and helpful, and the team clearly care about good food. The team was very happy to accommodate our vegan requirements, changing some ingredients to suit our needs. Wonderful flavours and a good atmosphere.

The food is delicious and perfectly prepared. Recommend high especially if you have recently arrived from England countryside. :)

Three Birds had a lovely, buzzy atmosphere. The service was friendly and efficient. The menu and daily specials board was offered a great selection and we were all left feeling that it was difficult to order just one thing as it all sounded so great. Watermelon, halloumi and fig salad was fresh and delicious, chipotle pork, cornbread, pineapple salsa and grilled corn was fabulously warm and sustaining. Everyone else was delighted with their choices too. The ice cream selection was fantastic- I went for a scoop of orange and ginger sorbet. Reasonable prices, great food, lovely service.

The two stars are for the great friendly staff, sadly the food didn't warrant any and the drinks whilst nice were expensive.
The hake was dry, the polenta was dry, the rice was dry. Overall fairly expensive and well below average food. There are better restaurants in Edinburgh.
