Stayed at Cherrytrees as a base for the Fringe. It's around a 30 minute bus ride from the town centre however there is a bus every 10 minutes. The rooms are great, lovely king size bed and nice size bathroom. Jan is lovely and gave us a great welcome. If you are going to have a late night be aware that the taxi is going to be around £16 so try and get the night bus.

We stayed here for two nights with some friends to see some of the Fringe, the bus stop was just a little way down the street they were around every ten minutes or so, and we arrived in he city in around forty minutes. The rooms were very comfortable with great big beds for a very good nights sleep. Bathrooms lovely and clean as was the rest of the place. Breakfast was great both mornings with no rush, plenty of tea and coffee. Would definitely go back again.

Room Tip: There are only two rooms both were great.

We were in Edinburgh for only one night and a good night's sleep was important. Cherrytrees was perfect for us and very family friendly - our three month old baby slept through the night for the first time here! The location is tranquil and convenient, the rooms are clean and very comfy. The owner Jan does a great breakfast and ensures you leave well fuelled for the day ahead. Will definitely visit again.

Room Tip: Quiet, friendly, good breakfast, comfy bed, convenient public transport to Edinburgh city centre, fr...

A bit nervous at first as this is someones house. It was brilliant. I was made to feel welcome and left to do what I needed to do. Breakfast was lovely (even though Jan claims not to be able to cook poached eggs. Lovely) and my whole stay was better than I ever thought it would be.

Thanks for a great stay, guys.

Room Tip: High quality B&B

I highly recommend this B&B. Modern, clean tidy facilities, free wifi and an excellent large bed. The owner Jan was very friendly and helpful and went out of her way to help. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Highly recommended!

This was our second visit staying at The Cherrytrees B & B. And as we expected it was again fantastic. Jan, the owner remembered us from the first time and was as welcoming and pleasant as before. We stayed in the same rooms which are modern, extremely clean, bright and airy. The beds are so comfortable and the power shower is great.
We can not fault Jan and The Cherrytrees at all. I also have to mention the great cooked breakfast.
I would highly recommend The Cherrytrees for all ages of travellers visiting the Currie / Balerno / Edinburgh area.
We will see you soon Jan. Thanks again

Hubby has been staying at Cerrytrees for several weeks while working in Edinburgh. He isn't a TA member, not being an advocate of these things! But, being so impressed with Cherrytrees and the owner Jan feels compelled to leave a review - even if it's via my membership!

Cherrytrees is far better than yor average B&B. It's a comfortable, clean and modern with comfy beds and bedding, impeccable decor with flat screen TV's and the en-suite is fabulous. Much better than I'm used to when working away from home. Please don't misunderstand me - this is not a "workmans" B&B. It's more than suitable for singles, coulples or families be it for social, professional or recreational purposes.

Although I didn't have time for sightseeing etc., I would imagine this to be a very good location and I'm sure Jan would provide lots of info on where to go and how to get there.

Great stay. Thanks Jan.
Dave
