A friend and I went in for lunch one rainy day. Only one other table was occupied but by the time we finished a few more tables were full. My friend had a panini and I chose the soup which was lovely. The staff are friendly and the coffee is of good quality too. So far so very good.
At the end of my meal I noticed that my soup and fresh bread had been resting over a previously used napkin (not slightly crumbled - seriously previously used) which turned my stomach. I quietly pointed this out to the server who did not seem phased by this and merely said that she would speak to kitchen staff about this. I would have appreciated a bit more reassurance and a gesture of goodwill, neither of which were on offer.
