Enjoyed a light lunch with a friend. Lovely staff keen to make the meal memorable! Delish green juice, teriyaki veggies and a carob brownie for dessert. Yum! Will def go again.

I dare say Edinburgh will recover from the pretty awful disturbances created by the debatable Tram Project, although I've heard that bets are on that Barcelona's Sagrada Familia (estimated finishing date 2035) will be completed before trams are running in Scotland's premier city!
Still, opportunities arise in places that have been rather neglected in past years; and I'm sure Haymarket will become much restored.
Close by its Railway Station is Morrison Street, where The Orb is situated and, once you've climbed the stone steps to what used to be a Spiritualist Church and is now a wonderfully serene Shining Light Holistic Centre, you will be well rewarded by entering a very calming sphere of influence where, if they are available, a range of therapies to explore.
Orb offer a splendid range of super healthy meals and organic smoothies; as well as a delicious selection of desserts-and there's no need to rush because there's a range of magazines to read, and a gift shop.
Truly an oasis that you will want to return to.

Welcomed by lively and friendly greetings with simple but nice and warm atmosphere.
Every dish was prepared freshly from the kitchen. The chef, Claire, who is also the owner of the café concerned for every question and specialty that I asked. The Menu is creative, ingredients are brought to mix and match together very well to become delicious dishes. I did feel that every dish was fulfilled with love and care, created delicately by heart.

For over 15 years experience in being vegetarian, vegan, and for 4 years being a raw food eater, I can say that ORB Café is the best raw food and vegan restaurant I have ever tasted in the world, comparing to many in other towns and countries. I know that I will always miss this place, if I visit Edinburgh again in the future, I will absolutely go to ORB.

Although you are not vegan/vegetarian or raw food lover, you should give it a try.
It's good for your health, it's good for your life. Then you will know how's an angel's food taste like! :)

Went to this lovely cafe a few weeks ago now and was really impressed. It's a little hidden gem near Haymarket station which has a calming serenity about it as soon as you walk in (difficult to find these days!). You get immediate smiles from the friendly staff who offer the availability of a large range of amazing teas and other hot drinks (for a paltry £1!) and a short but very enticing menu. I went for the brazil nut burger (delicious with a spicy very fresh salad) and my friend chose the lasagne. Both were little miracles of taste! Then we got to dessert - I was honestly amazed how the creamy pecan pie I had was raw and vegan! No idea how that is done! And the chocolate tart was also super tasty. All in all I would definitely recommend this place and all guilt free and extremely fresh. A very well done to all the staff!

As soon as you walk in to Orb you are made to feel welcome by the staff. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal. As a newbies to raw vegan dining we didn't really know what to expect. The food was, delicious, beautifully presented and excellent value. We can't wait to visit again
