Amazing value for money! I was delighted with how well presented the food came out! Both the fish cakes and lasagne tasted good however we both said that our dishes were lacking fish/beef. I wouldn't complain for the price though! The owner was lovely...he made time to chat to everyone despite being busy! The place was full so book a table.

A Saturday afternoon and this place was packed. Friendly service and quick! We opted for the small fish tea which includes bread and butter and tea - all for £5.50. Food was excellent and all I can say is that we might be better to book next time.

Out with Mrs G tonight. We were recommended to try this by a friend. Must say that grub was good and service friendly. Kind on the wallet too especially as it's BYOB. Looking forward to next visit.

Superb. Wee impromptu night out with hubby & not disappointed at all. Fantastic food, friendly staff. Nice ambience. Fab idea of having a choice of normal size pud or a mini pud £1.95 for 1 or 3 for £5.... nice wee tasters for when you just need a little bit of sweetness after a meal. Will definitely be back & happy to recommend to friends & family.

Last night 12 friends joined us to celebrate Derek's 60th birthday. The table had been booked for months and the menu planned well in advance
What a truly wonderful evening , the service was superb even although every table was full. The ordering was completely hassle free and the drinks were readily available. A lovely young lady and Keith the owner with his partner Kay spoiled all of us royally . The kids in the party did not fancy any of the 6 mains and were accommodated with no fuss.
The courses arrived all together with no waiting and the banter was so funny.
Everyone was delighted with their food , my highlight the melting sole mornay.
I have and will rave about the food but last night was about making Derek feel like a king for the night and it worked .
His best birthday to date so follow that .Thank you our lovely Kay and Keith for making it so.
Incidentally a lady at the next table spoke to me and said she had read my review about Butternut Squash ..... Made my night . Word of mouth is a powerful tool .
Love you guys xxxx
