Great location, close to everything in Edinburgh and has all of the facilities you could possibly need, even has a Sainsburys local and a Starbucks right underneath!! We had a two bed apartment which made a nice change from sharing a hotel room as a family of four.

Stayed here for one night while the commonwealth games were on in Glasgow so it was more expensive which meant it wasn't great value though.

Stayed: July 2014, travelled with family

Thanks Phil

Price is driven by demand and the night you stayed was more expensive than during the off peak months. If you had opted to book a hotel room at the same time you would have found a similar price and as you mentioned the apartment solution gave you far more room. Everyone’s opinion on value differs but rest assured we will always look to stay in line with our competition and retain good value by doing this.

We stayed a few nights as a base for visiting Edinburgh and going to Glasgow for the Commonwealth Games. Location was excellent for both - Waverley Station is only 5 minutes (uphill) walk. There are good Starbucks and Sainsbury's on the ground floor (Peter's Yard cafe is pleasant but expensive). Our apartment had a large living room/kitchen, three comfortable bedrooms and modern bathrooms. All very clean. Good Virgin Media TV. My only reservation is over some noise from the street - actually not a road but a pleasant walkway (other apartments may face onto quieter courtyards); and the curtains were very far from blackout. So if a long and uninterrupted sleep is a requirement, ask for an apartment not facing onto Meadow Walk.

The walk way 'Middle Meadow walk' is a very pleasant outlook but noise can travel at certain times of the year. All windows are double glazed but we will see if we can improve further.

We stayed in three types of apartments as we were a family of 10 people. The two apartments had awesome views of the park and the cliff. But all were in good condition and spacious. The only thing is we were expecting serviced apartments but during our 3 day stay we didn't receive any service or towel change. The location is walking distance to Grassmarket and Castle and to many good restaurants. There was a Sainsbury and Starbucks under the apartments making life easier. The management arranged a private car and driver/ guide for ten of us upon our request and that was great. Our guide/ driver, Andy, was great, nice and easy going and became friends with our young members.

Room Tip: Ask for upper level rooms, like 5th floor and rooms facing the park.

It was an excellent experience, because the apartment is in a good position central and near at the principal monuments and attractions of Edinburgh. Very good is the relation between price and quality. Well functional and silence. I can recommand this apartment and very good service.

I stay in Edinburgh on a regular basis and this is the first time I have stayed at these apartments. It is in a good central but quiet location on the site of the old hospital. Some of the apartments are in the original building but I stayed in a new block. There is no check in facility after 7pm but they did arrange for a driver to meet us at the airport with the room keys. The apartments are compact but have all the facilities you need. The wi-fi is free and easy to access. There is no fan in the bathroom which has no window which is odd and the apartment was looking a little worn & tired. I would use again if the price was right. Good places for breakfast close by.

Our reception closes at 19:00 but later check in can be pre arranged. There is always a member of staff on site but we do encourage later arrivals to opt for a station or airport collection service which combines your check in.

All bathrooms have fans but these are located above the enclosed units. It has been noted that they need improvement in some apartments and we have taken this up with the developer.
