"A celebration of Scottish seafood" cost £23. Turned out to be various types of Salmon with some suspect crab pate padded out hard boiled eggs lemons and huge chunks of bread. Have they not heard of oysters, prawns etc...?
Staff lovely but NOT value for money. Last time I eat there.

We ate there before flying to Mallorca The food was excellent as was the service The cost was high but then you have to pay for quality and it was well ahead of the other outlets at the airport which is poorly served by eateries - just the usual very average or below average cafes Eat at Thermidors and you will not be disappointed

Located in the Departure lounge of Edinburgh Airport, this is the best value for money food in Edinburgh Airport.
The Seafood bar does not open until 11 are and hot food not available until around midday. Having said that we cleared security just after 11 am and found the service friendly and prompt at the circular bar with comfortable high bar stools. We went for the Smoked Salmon with a glass of Chenin Blanc deal followed by three seafood shots with crayfish tails, crab and prawns.
The seafood was excellent, especially the smoked salmon on the open sandwiches and portions very good for the prices charged.
In terms of value for money and quality of food as well as friendly service (from Anna, a charming young Eastern European woman), this is the place to go for pre-flight food. Forget the other chain food outlets selling overpriced coffee and not very good food.

Not cheap, but a great deal better than any of the other places to eat in the after-security departure lounge at Edinburgh Airport. Bar stools around a central food preparation area; the menu focuses on smoked salmon, shellfish, etc. I used to eat at "The Gathering" before taking a flight, but no longer (following a change in the menu making it no better than Weatherspoons). I tried Thermidors and would be very happy to go back.
