Me and my husband stayed for 3 nights for our first wedding anniversary, we got put in to the Ewan McGregor room, the room was clean, bright and stylish, we loved the decor and the bed was extremely comfortable, we had breakfast each morning which came quickly and was delicious.

The hotel is very close to main strip of shops and restaurants and in a prime location for the attractions.

We thought it was a shame that we did not get a little treat for our very first wedding anniversary though as we did mention to the reception.

Many thanks for spending some time to write your lovely review!

Angels Share Hotel is definitely aiming to be comfortable and stylish, so it is lovely to see that you thought that the hotel was both of these! The Ewan McGregor room is proving to be quite the favourite amongst both staff and previous guests.
The breakfast offered at the hotel is certainly delicious with Angels Share using locally sourced products to make it extra special. Your lovely comments will be passed on the Kitchen team!

I hope you plan to come back to Angels Share Hotel, and if so please contact lucy.wallace@angelssharehotel.com - we offer a 10% discount on all returning guests if they quote 'Haste Ye Back' when booking direct.

Once again thank you for your comments and we hope to welcome you back to Angels Share Hotel again!

Booked a night at the Angels Share for a concert in Edinburgh.
Short walk from train station approx 10min just the other end of Princes Street.
Decadent, boutique hôtel. Rooms the most comfy bed ever. Very clean.
Food excellent and staff all very helpful and friendly.
Returned to the hotel at 11pm after concert to find the bar in full swing with live music. Excellent cocktails. Very busy (obviously a popular place) but a good vibe. Doesn't attract the young but people in 30's - 50's.
Wouldn't hesitate in recommending the hotel. Had thought about staying at the Balmoral but having stayed at the Angels share I've changed my mind.

Room Tip: Dougray Scot room. Very quiet spacious room. Upper floor at the rear. So much to do in Edinburgh th...

Thank you! This is such a lovely review and you have summed up our exact aim when styling Angels Share Hotel.

For our beds being so comfy you have to thank our think feather toppers that provide an added level of luxury to our rooms!

I will be passing on your kind words to the staff who excel at being helpful and friendly - something we think sets us apart from other places in Edinburgh.

Don't forgot to quote 'Haste Ye Back' when booking in directly with the hotel to save 10% on the best available rate. All of us at Angels Share look forward to welcoming you back in the future!

Booked this hotel for an overnight stay - visiting the Edinburgh Tattoo. Chose it for its central location, however, was rather expensive for one night. Upon arrival, we finally found our way upstairs to reception, were we had to wait 5 mins for someone to come to the desk. Once checked in, we were directed to our room (Rod Stewart), first impressions, spacious and light. Closer inspection, not very clean, dusty floor, and some hairs and general dust on the bed. The bathroom, seemed a little better, and it was nice to have bathrobes provided. When we returned to the room after midnight, it was extremely noisy outside our room, we were street facing. Breakfast the next morning, there was a cooked breakfast menu, but my husband and I only fancied some cereal and toast. This seemed a bit of a challenge to the staff, however, she did return with two small boxes of cereal (one of which was almost out of date), some juice and 4 slices of burnt toast. Shame something so simple was slightly spoilt. Unfortunately we probably wouldn't re-book this hotel again, although it was very central for all the attractions in Edinburgh.

Thank you for your review, we appreciate all feedback as this helps us to constantly improve!

It is upsetting to hear that you did not enjoy your stay as much as you, and of course everyone here at Angels Share would have liked.

I have raised the issues highlighted with both the Housekeeping department and also the managers more involved in the breakfast service, we like to strive for excellent service and an excellent product so to see that you feel that was not what was received is a concern.

Myself and the rest of the staff here would love to see you return so please contact me on the following email address to discuss; lucy.wallace@angelssharehotel.com

Once again thank you for all of your feedback.

Stayed for one night whilst working in Edinburgh in the Rod Stewart room. The hotel is in a central location in a nice period building. The welcome from the chap at Reception could not have been warmer (fabulous). The room was spacious, contemporary and clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the extras (such as bathrobes, water and variety of coffee and teas) were very good. Particularly liked the fine Scottish soap in the modern bathroom. Lighting in the room and bathroom was well thought out (really important to me as I struggle with poor lighting and like a well lit place to apply make up plus a good bedside light for reading). Evening meal in the restaurant was very good. Restaurant staff were great - attentive, always checking from a distance if we needed anything and not at all intrusive. They were also all achingly cool and I liked the trendy vibe they gave the place. Breakfast in the restaurant was tasty and plentiful. Again, the service was really good. Would definitely recommend if you are bored of the usual chain hotel concept and fancy something a bit more interesting and cool.

Superbly located hotel in the west end of Edinburgh, a stones throw from Princes street and the castle.

The entrance level is a bar and restaurant. Good range of drinks and food with swift & professional service. Spacious, informal and elegant - the kind of place you would be quite happy eating in with a partner, or taking clients too.

3 mins walk from a tram stop from which you can come and go directly to the airport. (The Edinburgh trams are new. They are incredibly slow - pedestrians frequently overtake them. You may prefer walking. They have no aircon, or even air flow so even short journeys are hot, humid and uncomfortable. )

You take a small, slow leather padded lift (!) to the small reception. Check in was polite and courteous. A small warren of halls and stairs take you to your room. This causes no problem for me, but elderly people and especially wheelchair users may find this a challenge.

Decor is good but some areas are showing signs of wear. The second lift is temperamental and needs some patience when you summon it. Signposting is helpful and there are some quirky touches to the fittings in the public areas.

My room was a good size. Perfect for my short stay. Clean and showing high standards of housekeeping. Bathroom was well appointed and linen was good quality. There is a small desk, iPhone Dock, safe and mini bar. Free wifi is available but I did not get chance to check out the speed.

Shower, towels and toiletries were all good quality. I did not have the opportunity to try any food, but drinks service at the bar was good.

Check out was polite and efficient.

Would I stay again? Yes, quite possibly. It's a very pleasant hotel in a great location but it's not the Savoy. It charges city centre prices but does offer a reasonable amount of quality and good service to justify this.

Me and my partner came here for the weekend, upon arriving we're greeted by very welcoming staff. Our room was lovely (Gerard Butler)
The bar made it for us to be honest, the staff were excellent and my partner didn't wait long to be served (even at busy times) we were always taken first, there was a guy singing both Friday and Saturday and he was a pleasure to listen to.

We are definitely planning on returning here thanks to 2 people, the American/Canadian ( we can't agree lol) man at hotel reception, he was the nicest, most helpful person ever.

And the guy behind the bar ( unfortunately didn't catch his name) "young guy with moustache" once again made us feel special!

So thanks Angel Share for a lovely weekend hope to see you all soon

Room Tip: All Scottish themed, so I think they would always be amazing!

Overall is good. The room is big enough, modern and clean.
The hotel is a bit far from the station and castle (15-20 mins walking distance) but easy to find.
The staff is very friendly.
Free, stable and fast wifi in room.
But the shower in my room is lack of powerful and the bed is quite small for 2 peoples.
