I can't believe this cafe doesn't have any reviews yet! This place is definitely a catch in Edinburgh and is made even better because it's not located in the tourist hub of the city. Here's why you should go here...
Food: The scones are divine! They are deliciously hand crafted and served with generous portions of jam and clotted cream. I've tried scones at a number of food establishments in the city and these ones definitely come out on top! Also, the prices are completely reasonable.
Service: The cafe is owned by a lovely couple who clearly care about their customers and the food they serve. They take care to keep the cafe clean and they are nice to chat with as well! They're also a skilled pair - she paints unique pieces of art and he bakes delicious scones and cakes.
Atmosphere: Big windows light up the front dining area in which there are big wooden tables and cushioned seats. The cafe feels bright and welcoming and the big tables make it a good place to work. Also, the back room of the cafe is an art gallery/frame shop. So you can also peruse the art on display while visiting.
Overall, this cafe is a great find and I highly recommend it! Support these local entrepreneurs by indulging in their menu!
