“Comfortable modern flat with a frequent bus route into the city”
Reviewed 8 November 2016 for a stay in October 2016

This is a comfortable 2 bedroom flat in a modern block overlooking the Forth and harbour. We made a lot of use of the number 10 bus which goes every 10 mins from close to the flat into town, £8.50 buys you a family day ticket (2 adults and up to 3 kids).

The flat was well equipped for cooking though on arrival we found a grim, burnt dirty frying pan actually inside the oven - left there by a previous occupant and not spotted by the owner I guess.

The bathrooms / showers / hot water were excellent. The double beds in the 2 bedrooms and the big sofa bed in the living room were all comfortable.

Lighting needs a little attention. There are halogen spotlamps throughout and quite a few need replacement. There is a dimmer switch for the main lights in the living room which has lost its "knob".

The most significant problem was the curtains in the living room where there is a sofa bed - these were too small to cover the (very big) windows. It wasn't a major issue because we visited in October and were getting up before it got light. For a summer visit it would have been pretty light in the room soon after dawn.

The owners were very good at communicating with us and the procedure for getting the key etc. worked exactly as they said.

Location excellent with fantastic view. Bus stop nearby with a regular service to get in to town. The apartment was clean and well maintained. Very spacious, plenty of room for us all. Excellent communication with the owners and clear instructions provided prior to trip. I would definitely stay here again.

“Cant fault it!”

Robert and Vika had brilliant communication with us the whole time before, during and after our stay and the apartment was fantastic for the 3 of us. Plenty of space and very clean. In a good location just a bus ride or cheap taxi ride from the centre of town. Absolutely brilliant, cant fault it!

Positives: Clear instructions given for rental access. Great location. Easy to get into centre. Large supermarket within walking distance and shopping mall nearby. Good choice of eating places. Good size living space.
Negatives: Underwhelmed by condition of 'Deluxe' apartment. Photos are not a true reflection of the apartment as it is now, that is to say, the curtains in living room (poorly fitted and could not be drawn completely),the soft furnishings and bedding in both bedrooms were all different to those in the photos. The dining room chairs were scruffy and some of the light fittings in the kitchen and living room were not working. Also, the kitchen was not as clean as it could have been. It should also be noted that there was a lot of noise from other people outside the apartment both late at night and early in the morning.
Can we also suggest that an information pack ( nearest doctor, rubbish collection etc) would be very welcome. This is the first time in all the places that we have rented where one has not been provided.
I am sorry if this all sounds a little too critical but I hope that it will mean that some of the issues can be rectified for future guests. We still had a good time and would recommend a visit to Edinburgh.

This place is best to stay when you are in Edinburgh with family, we were total 9 family members enjoyed our stay. It is located near the sea and you can see sea from your living room window, the apartment is very well maintained and very small things are taken in to consideration to make your stay comfortable things like Tissues, bath towels, napkins, hair shampoo, soaps, and all toiletries which are required. The kitchen has all the utensils which we require lastly i would conclude by saying "The Best Apartment in which I Stayed ever"

We stayed here for one night how I wished it could have been more the views from the lounge and bedrooms were amazing my husband said we have stayed on holiday all over the world and never had a view like that. The apartment itself was clean and tidy the beds were comfortable and the bathrooms even had toiletries to use The bus stop was just a few minutes walk and buses went every 10 minutes into Edinburgh .What I really liked was the quiet and the feeling of security in the building I won't hesitate to tell family and friends to go here and I hope to return myself All in all what a great experience

“Spacious and great location !”

This is a modern apartment , very spacious with a great view over the sea and close to public transportation . The grocery store is not too far but a car is required for the first grocery . The rooms are comfortable and overall we had a nice stay . Only some minor items stopped us from giving an excellent rating to the place : no frying pan and limited cutlery for 4 people ; thin curtains that would not stop the morning light , dust under the beds and sofas which affected one of the members of our group ! Small irritants that could be easily corrected !
