Description: Port of Siam offers Thai Fusion in the vibrant heart of Edinburgh. Chef Phaitoon and his team blend authentic Thai spices with locally sourced fresh fish and seafood from Newhaven Fish Market, merging traditional Thai cuisines with modern Scottish cooking to create our delicious seafood dishes. Quality Scottish farm produce is also sourced to re-create our traditional Thai dishes and inspire many of the contemporary creations on the menu. Enjoy our excellent wines and the amazing cocktails prepared by our barmen in the Bangkok Bar, a small, but stylish bar that adjoins the restaurant and also serves an alternative daytime and evening Thai Street Food menu. The Bangkok Basement is our latest addition to facilities along with Port of Siam and the Bangkok Bar. A standalone music and Karaoke venue, the Bangkok Basement offers a great way to wind up that night out, or just come down for some great music and drinks. Open to all until 1am at weekends and also bookable for private events, this is a great new party place on the street.

1st time in this Thai restaurant located just off Broughton Street. The dining room and (Bangkok) bar are designed in a modern style and there is a great buzz in the place. Was not disappointed with the service or food - the highlight for me being the Monkfish stir fry. Definitely will be back..!

We visited Port of Siam for dinner and cocktails and were not disappointed. Everything we had was delicious and portion size is excellent. The Pad Thai was particularly good! Some different cocktails on the menu and everything was good value for money; probably it's a little pricey for an everyday meal but perfect for an occasion.
Only complaint is the service was a little slow at times, but we weren't in a hurry so it wasn't an issue. We'll be back!

Thanks for fabulous dinner and a great time, been couple of time at both locations and the food is excellent every time I go back. Flavours are delicious and i can recommend the venison to start and then the King scallops, simply delicious! friendly staff and great atmosphere for an excellent dinner.

Went for a late lunch, got to choose our table as it wasn't very busy. And the waiter just wasn't bothered where we went! Service needs some training, came to tale our orders when my partner was at the toilet! And was not the friendliest.
We chose from the 2 course lunch menu. Partner had prawns with dipping sauce which he said was nice but not special. I had the soup and again nice but chicken was slightly over cooked and chewy.
Mains were better Chicken Masaman very tasty and large portion which I couldn't finish. Partner a fish red curry he said it very nice, but bland. Which was surprising as he had asked for it medium spiced.
I must say that during our meal a delivery man was in and out right next to our table which was a bit distracting, then the mound of assorted goods were just left to block the stairs to the toilets, and the exit.
We ordered a bottle of wine which was lovely but not chilled.

Over all it was a nice meal but I won't be hurrying back.
