Annette and I have just came back from a 7 day holiday in Tenerife so we can appraise better what travellers desire when staying with us at the Hotel Ceilidh-Donia.

We agree with this traveler that costs relative to whats on offer in your choice of holiday venue is the most relative guide to a pleasurable stay in your destination of choice but must be married up with a very clean and cozy atmosphere and a great breakfast to start your day of exploration. The Single room occupied by this guest is what we call in HCD a petite en-suite room and as he says it was cozy clean and def good value.

As we are genuinely a Small Family run Hotel in Edinburgh we appreciate sites such as Tripadvisor and their reviewee's for keeping us on our toes and hope to improve its standard with our constant upgrading of Hotel Ceilidh-donia..

Its great when a Guest can appreciate that although we are not exactly City Center we do have other benifits such as this Traveler found out, the Bus stop is only 300yards away and ten minutes into town and also we are just One and a quarter Miles to the Roayal mile, The Castle, and it is the same distance if you do what they did by walking around our Extinct Volcanoe called Arthurs Seat ( Merlin, Nights of the Round Table, King Arthur ) to Holyrood House, The Scottish Parliament and Our Dynamic Earth..


Edinburgh truly is a great City and what i love best is that it feels like a Human City where most of what you need is on hand and but a short walk away..

Wow ! this sounds like I wrote this myself, friendly reception, good bus servise, not central but no harrassles, great views of our Ancient Volcano Arthurs Seat ( King Arthur and the Round Table ) Power showers, great Breakfast and fabby food in our small Metro Restuarant , Annette and I are truly happy when we have Guest leaving our Wee Hotel and think we more than exceeded their expectations.

When Annette and I set out on this wee journey from our previous Guest House called Dunedin House, we decide to try and keep it the same atmosphere, friendly, cozy, unfussy with very clean rooms etc, powerfull showers and great Breakfasts and most of all a Home from Home, oops and Dear Guest I will make sure Keltic and Keilidh our two Beautiful Golden Retrievers will be here waiting for you on your return..
