I rated this as average because there is nothing between average and very good. Architecturally this is a magnificent square, planned by Robert Adam, with several points of historic interest. For the tourist you can see but not enter the former home of Lord Lister and the Official Residence of Scotland's First Minister. You can however enter "The Georgian House" on the north side to find out what life was like in the late 18th/early 19th centuries.
