Charlotte Square, overall, is a wonderful example of the Georgian architecture for which Edinburgh is so well famed. The National Trust of Scotland has restored No. 7 Charlotte Square into what the house would have looked like in the early 1800s. This house is open to the public and is well worth a visit if the history of Edinburgh and the development of the New Town is of any interest.
