George IV Bridge, famous for historical reasons, is also a place to find real goods at real prices. Groceries, electronics, household goods, street food, none of which may attract the touristy crowd, are things the touristy crowd might need for a lengthy stay.

In the heart of the historic center of the city this is a small and modest bridge where a road goes underneath it, beautiful setting among the stunning and architecturally relevant buildings but in my opinion is not to be placed among the top attraction of the city.

The range of pubs here is ace, real heart of Edinburgh. Bar Kohl & Frankenstein's definitely worth a visit......

an interesting collection of bars, cafes and restaurants. However being the home to the infamous Elephant house (Harry Potter was written there) and Greyfriars Bobby makes this street a nightmare come peak festival season (Aug)
