“Great course & Old Style Club House”
Reviewed 11 November 2013

My son and myself played this course on a very cold day,the course was in great condition considering we played it in November, once you are at the top of the hill the views over Edinburgh are spectacular, the staff were excellent and when we were up on top of the course we had a long and interesting chat with the green keepers.
The course is a hidden gem and we will be back when the weather improves.
Oh and by the way if you are unfit hire a buggy it is well worth it,from the first green to the top of the course you must go up about 400ft.
Even the soup was good.

“A hidden Gem.”
Reviewed 29 October 2013

Torphin Hill Golf course is quite simply stunning. A round of golf on the course is worth it for the views alone. As the name suggests, the course is on a hill and although the locals may refer to it as "Torphin Hill", the hill is really part of the Pentland Hills and 15 holes on the golf course are either on the top of the Pentlands or on a slope towards the top. It's a bit a of an upward hike during the first 5 holes and a buggy may be advisable. However, when you are finally on the 5th green the views of Edinburgh, the Pentlands and beyond are breath-taking. The holes are varied, challenging and dramatic. There's a few blind holes and some tight par threes. The decent back down the hill, via the 15,16 and 17, is a joy to play and the welcome in 19th makes you feel that you really have found a special place to play golf in Edinburgh. A real gem.

“Welcoming and a good test of golf.”
Reviewed 6 June 2013 via mobile

Played 36 holes and really enjoyed the course. All the members and staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Views over Edinburgh are stunning and well worth the climb. The course is testing and has a lot of really good interesting holes. I would highly recommend this course and we will be back
