“Fab Cafe”
Reviewed 5 June 2014

Used this cafe when it was under the old management so when it changed hands was prepared to give it a chance. I was not disappointed and go in often for breakfast/lunch. Always greeted with a friendly smile and hello from staff. Food is great, fresh and home baking is amazing - try the empire biscuits. Staff go that extra mile. Have recommended them to colleagues and friends. Helpful that they do a text order system for when you are in a hurry. Really lovely little cafe...

“Worst cafe in Edinburgh ”
Reviewed 19 April 2014 via mobile

2 Early Grey Teas(they didn't have Lemmon) one piece of ridden cake (dried, old and serves by lifting with his hands to plate -no glove, no tongs (hope he had washed his hands) and one piece of chocolate cake -again dry and old. "I'll bring it out to you sir" - but had to ask for a fork, once brought had to ask for napkins -which seemed to mildly irritate. Was going to have a sandwich but looking in the fridge at the uncovered chicken pieces made me go off that idea. In summary -poor service, old food and quite simply just won't go there again.

“Lovely little cafe - great freshly prepared food”
Reviewed 10 April 2014

Just popped in for a snack on Saturday afternoon. Very small place with kitchen and diners all in the same room. Great freshly prepared salads, breakfasts, paninis, rolls, porridge etc.
A huge wholemeal roll stuffed with tuna and salad for a very reasonable price of £2.00. Also a brown bread sandwich with lots of bacon and chicken £2.00. Teas were £1.50 normal pot and £1.70 for speciality teas.
Great service, lovely clean little café a real gem. Will be back.
