“Nice visit”

Nice premier inn , great quite location, lovely helpful staff. Rooms up to usual premier inn standards, an ajoining restaurant which serves decent food and a great buffet breakfast. Bus stop across the road from hotel and a 10 minute trip at a cost of £1.40 takes you into the centre of Edinburgh.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with sea view

We stayed for 3 nights in August took attend Tatoo. Staff very helpful at check inn. Rooms much like any Premier Inn - comfortable and clean. Got a bit hot at nights. Not really disturbed by current building work
Location good to get into town with bus across the road. Walk to Britannia.
Breakfast good value and staff welcoming. Had one evening meal there on Tex Mex night - really a bit sad with up to 4 dishes empty at a time. With a prepared buffet option there should be no excuse for empty dishes. However there are other good dining options nearby if you want a change from Premier Inn fare.

We stayed two nights, two adults and 8 year old “young assistant” in a family room. Clean modern décor, large flat screen wall mounted TV, shower & bath. Breakfast is first rate, evening meal good but better dining nearby, cheerful helpful staff and free parking. Note the location is not clearly shown on Google Maps, the actual hotel is immediately NE of the old Newhaven Fish-market, check hotel location map. There is building work going on at the moment but this does not cause any problems. Deliveries roused us between 0700 and 0715; if you want to sleep longer ask for a sea view room on the NW side of the hotel. Our only gripe related to room ventilation and temperature – don’t be mislead by the sleek modern temperature controller in the room this only controls heating, there is nor air-con or power ventilation. Comfort is dependent on natural ventilation from the French door/window which has restricted opening “for your safety”. Though the window in our room was left as far open as it would go the room temperature rose from 23C to 25C overnight when the temperature outside was 12C – not very comfortable. This is an excellent location for visiting Edinburgh and “HMY Britannia”, public transport (Lothian No.10 bus) stops outside the hotel. Last bus back well after 2300 so convenient for return from the Tattoo £3.50 day pass for adults £2.00 for a child. Apart from the room ventilation temperature issue we slept well and enjoyed our stay.

Room Tip: Sea view rooms quieter

This was my first time staying in a Premier Inn and was pleasantly surprised. Rooms are fresh and clean and delivered on their promise of a good night's sleep. Large flat screen tv and tea and coffee facilities made this on par with more expensive establishments. It is a bit out of the way but has a bus stop directly across the road which takes you into town. The staff are very courteous and helpful. Brewers Fayre next door but we didn't use it as we were in the city centre most of the time. Great price for a weekend or longer stay in the city. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Room Tip: An extension is getting built at the moment so a room with a sea view might be advisable.

Stayed here for two nights. Facilities and service are first class.Slight down side is the distance from the City Centre but you can catch a No 10 bus right outside the Hotel - journey time about 15 minutes, otherwise no problems. The staff were extremely helpful, the rooms are spotless and the food is delicious. You won't have any problems staying in this hotel.

Having already stayed in the Premier Inn Southwark I was not disappointed with Premier Inn Leith. We received a friendly welcome. The room was very clean and freshly decorated. As we were travelling with children the big, good quality TV was used during our time in the room. Breakfast for the 4 of us (the children eating free) was great value and with it being help yourself buffet we were not hungry til very late on in the day, thus saving money on buying lunches. The choice of breakfast was fantastic and I would thoroughly recommend it. Some might think £8.25 is pricey but when 4 of us ate all we could eat breakfast, for £16.50 inlc tea/coffee etc I dont think you could beat it...you might get a 4 or 5 item breakfast cheaper but it will not fill you the same as this. I had a 3 course (cereal, hot breakfast then fruit and yog) each day and know that a 4 or 5 item breakfast elsewhere would not have kept me full for as long as the Premier Inn's buffet. This Premier Inn is situated near Ocean Terminal shopping centre and Royal Yacht Britannia. There is a No 10 bus which runs every 10mins into Edinburgh centre. We bought day passes (£3.50 adult; £2 child) but single and return tickets can also be purchased if not using buses within Edinburgh. The bus stop is just outside the hotel so very safe for anyone travelling alone. I have already booked another stay for us in September as we didnt get to see the Pandas at the zoo. There is free parking available which is not the case for every hotel in Edinburgh. We had a sea view and the location of this Premier Inn is next to a small harbour with lighthouse, quite pretty. Would highly recommend this Premier Inn.

Room Tip: Sea views are available.

Great location, close to the britannia and Botanical Gardens. There is a 24hr Asda near by plus the Ocean terminal shopping centre which has a good selection of restaurants. The staff where very helpful and friendly. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Free parking, breakfast was good. The hotel was on the harbour is at the back of the hotel, which we had a lovely walk along in the evening and watched a wonderful sunset. There is a bus stop outside, with a bus that goes to the city centre.

Room Tip: Ask for sea view when booking
