“Fabulous stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 April 2014

A fabulous stay. Wish it could have been longer. On arrival in Leith after a seven hour drive, there was someone on the other end of the phone to give us directions. Lovely friendly faces when arriving and speedy check in. Room was lovely and clean and very comfortable. What a fabulous surprise when we woke up and we had a view of the sea and the lighthouse.

We asked about a taxi into Edinburgh and the. Receptionist sorted this out. Breakfast was yummy yummy and very leisurely. The Costa coffee machine was brilliant. Friendly and attentive staff. If visiting Edinburgh I would recommend this hotel as it is probably only a fifteen twenty minute journey.

Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

Great location on the waterfront at Leith which is ideal for visits to Edinburg.
Bus stop right outside where buses stop for the 15min ride to the city at £1.50 a journey, great.
Hotel was spotless and a great size, and a good sleep is guaranteed.
Pre paid breakfast in the adjoining Brewers Fayre pub was also very good and plentiful.

Thank you Nick H for reviewing your stay with Edinburgh Leith Waterfront. We are delighted you had an enjoyable stay with us and our location suited your needs. The local bus service is very reliable for heading into the city centre. Our all you can eat breakfast is excellent value for money, and the team in the restaurant will be happy to know you enjoyed it. Our team are thrilled your room was spotless and you had a great sleep as stated in our good night guarantee! We look forward to welcoming you back to Premier Inn again soon.

Great location, on the harbour side, with views over the water from some rooms. Best ask for these if you want one.

Parking in the hotel / pub car park fast and easy.

Check in friendly and fast, new check in terminals installed, staff happy to check in manually if like me you hate using them.

Room is exactly how a Premier Inn room should be, a text book example of how to do it.
Nothing out of place, everything there, clean and working.

One small design flaw to watch however.
The particular combination of tap / basin in the bathroom means that if you're not very careful, the tap water hits the basin and bounces out onto your shirt in a fine spray,
Less than ideal if you're late for dinner!

Hardly the end of the world, but irritating when it happens.

Have stayed here before, will do again, and its our hotel of choice when working in this area.

Adjacent restaurant is Brewers Fayre, not used on this occasion but no problems in the past.

Room Tip: If you want a water view, its always worth asking if they have one available.

Thank you for choosing Premier Inn Leith Waterfront again. We are delighted you had another excellent stay with us. The team are really touched by your 5 star review, and to know you think we are one of the best Premier Inn’s. Our views over the Firth are wonderful and we are very lucky to be able to offer these to our guests. We understand that our automated check in facility does not suit everyone, and I am pleased the reception team were accommodating with your check in. Our Housekeeping team are delighted you think our rooms are a text book example of our Premier Inn standards. They work hard to maintain these, and are pleased you found the room clean and in excellent working order. I will pass your comments surrounding the taps to our maintenance team member to adjust the water pressure to prevent this issue happening again. My sincerest apologises. Thank you for sharing your views with the Trip Advisor community. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon.

I stayed here a few weeks ago with my wife and young son and we were very impressed both by the convenient location and the affordability. The room was a good size, the beds comfortable and the bathroom had both a bath and a shower, a bonus when travelling with a young child. The prepaid breakfast was both plentiful and of pretty reasonable quality, with some healthy choices as well as the more traditional cooked options. Getting around was straightforward, with buses running past the hotel on a regular basis. As it turned out we were only 15 minutes walk from Ocean Terminal in Leith, which is on a number of main bus routes and was a better bet if we wanted to go further afield than the city centre. In the evening we found a handful of restaurants in the area around the hotel, mainly chain restaurants. That said a short walk or bus ride into Leith itself and there are quite a few restaurants to choose from, including some cheaper alternatives to the chains.

Thank you EGM68 for taking the time to review your stay with Edinburgh Leith Waterfront Premier Inn. The team and I are delighted that you and your family had an enjoyable stay with us. We are pleased the room was a good size and everyone found our beds comfortable. It is nice having the option of a shower or a bath, and we are thrilled this was an added bonus for you. Our Premier Breakfast is excellent value for money; with children getting to eat free it is a great way to start off your day, and added value for money. We are lucky to have Ocean Terminal and many other different amenities nearby. Thank you again for your review and choosing Premier Inn. We look forward to welcoming you back soon.

This was our second visit to this hotel in just over a year, and once again we were delighted with our stay - this time for just 2 nights.

The rooms are spotless with comfortable beds, and provide all the facilities you expect at Premier Inn; the staff are friendly and welcoming; the price represented great value by booking in advance; the location is great - by the Firth of Forth and Newhaven Harbour with views from some rooms to the Forth bridges, and yet with easy access to the city by the very frequent and cheap local buses. The number 10 stops right outside, so no need to use the car in the dreadful city centre traffic.

We were lucky to again have a room with a view and the benefit of a spectacular sunset seen from our room. If you can get a room with a view that is great, but even without this benefit we have no hesitation in again recommending this hotel.

Well situated for stay in the capital city of Edinburgh. Close to many wonderful bars and Michelin Star Restaurants. If you are a tourist visiting Edinburgh you could start by visiting The Royal Yacht Brittania which is more or less next door.
