“Better than many 4star hotels”
Reviewed 1 July 2014 via mobile

Stayed in The Premier Inn for one night while visiting Edinburgh for an Investiture at HollyRood Palace.
Friendly staff , spotlessly clean rooms , comfortable beds , and first class breakfast.
We even got the use of a room on returning to change in .
A special mention for Andy at reception who could not do enough for us and is a credit to Premier Inns.

Dear DDS23,

Thank you very much for your 5 star review of Edinburgh Leith Waterfront Premier Inn.
The team and I are over the moon that you found our hotel better than many 4 star hotels you have visited. We hope you had an excellent time at Holyrood Palace.

Andy will be delighted at his special mention – thank you! He works very hard to look after all our guests, and I am thrilled he made you feel welcome. The housekeeping team are pleased your room was spotless and the bed nice and comfortable.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay, and we look forward to welcoming you back to Premier Inn again soon.

Kind Regards,

Bronagh

For budget/value accommodation you can't get any better really. Rooms were spotless, bed comfortable, a fan in the room as they are obviously aware the rooms get hot and you can't open the window very far. Great parking facilities right outside the hotel.

We didnt partake of the Brewers Fayre breakfast offering, to be told that breakfast was finishing in 15 minutes and all that was left was it, doesnt really make you want to pay full price for an egg thats been sitting there for the past hour.

Leith is a bit of a wasteland to be honest but the number 10 bus takes you right into town and is opposite the hotel.

Dear Katie-Fenton,

Thank you very much for your 5 star review of Edinburgh Leith Waterfront Premier Inn. Thank you for your comments surrounding breakfast. I will pass these onto the restaurant general manager at our next meeting, where we will focus on, and resolve the situation you experienced. This feedback is really important, as it allows us to continually monitor our standards, and maintain our guests expectations.

We are thrilled you found the hotel accommodation was excellent value. The housekeeping team are proud that you found our rooms spotless, the bed comfortable and you appreciated the fan in the room to help keep the room cool. We are also happy to provide additional sheets rather than the warmer duvet, if you so require.

Leith is a developing suburb of Edinburgh, and for those that are happy to venture further along to the foot of Leith walk there are a variety of restaurants, shops and scenic walks along the canal.

Thank you for your review and we look forward to welcoming you back to Prmeier Inn in the future.

Kind Regards,

Bronagh

I can honestly say that this hotel was one of the cleanest I have ever been in. The rooms were immaculate and everything was nice and fresh. Comfy bed, spacious room, decent size tv with good reception. The staff were very friendly never walked past you without acknowledgement. Very good bus service even late into the night to and from the city centre.

Stayed at this premier inn for 2 nights in October last year. Good value for money, good location, near to the waterfront and a short taxi / bus ride into Edinburgh centre. Would definitely re-visit. Had breakfast in the attached pub which was very acceptable.

So pleased we chose this Premier Inn and not a City Centre one. Very friendly welcoming staff on Reception. Our room overlooked the water with distant views of the Forth Road and Rail Bridge. There was also an excellent tow path walk along the back of the hotel. The harbour and lighthouse were yards away from the hotel. Cannot fault this Premier Inn in any way. FYI A frequent bus service (number 10) operates from the front of the hotel and in 20 minutes or so you are in Princes Street for a low fare.

Good and helpful staff clean rooms. I liked the location at the Waterfront it was easy to take the bus into town center and there are some good restaurants in the neighborhood, in Leith. Good value of money.

Had a noise issue in the night and went down to reception, looked through the door and nobody about (3am). Woken again at 5:30am and decided just to get up as the kids had been woken. Went down to reception and complained to the night staff. The oldish man on duty said he couldn't do anything as he went to the room the noise was coming from and he said they went to bed at 11pm. In his next breath, he said the people in the room came downstairs for a cigarette about 6 times though the night. This to me would confirm the noise coming from the door banging and walking up and down the room etc. As we are staying another night, I asked if we could swap rooms and he said no we are full. Another man that came along said that he would refund the night stay and swap rooms for us and get the manager to get in touch during the day. No call from a manager and no room swap. As I am doing this review, the noise has started. Another crap night sleep and a long drive home tomorrow. NOT GOOD

Room Tip: Some rooms do have a sea view if your lucky.
