Our first stay at a Premier Inn. The location is great. We had a sea-view room. Number 10 bus leaves from across the road, others from Ocean Terminal (10 minutre walk away) - don't understand what some folk complain about! Room was plain but well-appointed, clean and all facilities in good order except Wi-Fi which didn't work the whole time we were there - a real pain! Breakfast next door was exceptional value and we were well looked after by the helpful staff. At the bargain rate of £89 for 2 people for 2 nights including breakfasts, what is there to complain about? We'll definitely be back.

We stayed here for 2 night with our 5 year old. Had a great family room with sea view. The room was very clean and comfortable and the staff extremely helpful and friendly. Perfect location for travelling into Edinburgh which was 10 minutes away. There is a No. 10 bus which stops right in front of the hotel *every 15 mins which takes you onto Princess Street. Perfect for leaving your car in the free car park and not getting charged in city centre Edinburgh.

Overall we enjoyed the location and hotel. Excellent value for money. I will be booking again to stay here.

Myself, significant other and young son stayed at Leith although when I did the booking, I actually wanted Lauriston place or Haymarket but they were highly priced for the time we wanted accommodation (28th-31st Dec,2009 for three nights, left 12 noon on 31st to explore Princes street before our train came). The next option that came up at £29 was Leith.

Nevertheless, we were comfortable at Leith as we were welcomed by pleasant receptionists, given a seaview room(with a double bed and single bed) which was very neat with a clean bathroom (powerful shower which I fell in love with). My other half was constantly nipping to the ASDA which was five minutes walk from the Inn and transport links were okay from the Inn to the City. Housekeeping also came round every morning.

I must admit Leith is like a rural area which is being developed as we saw new housing developments but it is not far from the City at all. It helps that there is ample parking space at the Inn and for those who like their Pub food, next door is one!!!!!
Overall, for the time we stayed at the hotel, we felt comfortable despite the bitterly cold weather!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not an ideal hotel for "easy access" to Edinburgh city centre as suggested on the website. Rooms are basic and generally clean but definately over priced for the sevrice, facilities and location provided. We stayed for 2 nights/3days for Hogmany 2009/10. Taxi fares alone cost almost £100 in and out from the city centre to the hotel due to new year taxi rates and the distances involved. Buses are available within a 5-10min walk from the hotel however these take between 20-25mins (at least) into the city centre due to the traffic. Staff weren't helpful at all and generally there was a very lazy attitude from them. I appreciate its a "cheap and cheerful" budget hotel however I did expect a bit more. I was glad to be leaving on the final day of our trip.

This was our first time at a Premier Inn, and we were very pleased. The room is a basic affair but has all that is needed. The room and the bath room were very clean. The view from the window was lovely over looking the sea.
The area was ideal as it was very quiet. We left our car in the car park for the 3 days we spent there and travelled to Edinburgh by bus or taxi. This was ideal as it saved us trying to find parking which is hard and very expensive in the city.
The Inn next door served good cheap adequate meals and the staff were friendly.
Leith is an area which is being re developed and will be amazing when finished. The Ocean Terminal just down the road is brilliant with lots of very good cafe's, coffee bars, wine bars and such with wonderful shops and a good muti screen cinema. It also has the Royal yacth berthed nearby.
The staff at the Premier inn were very helpful with local information and very welcoming.
We were very plesantly surprised by our over all experience as we have stayed in much more expensive hotels which did not give such a positive experience.
We would certainly go back here again!

The hotel staff were very rude especially the duty manager. The room was filthy and we to be given a partial refund as they did not give the correct information. The extra bed is NOT suitable for adults
