i booked here because there were great reviews, and the pricewas very cost effective.
Everything they said is true!!!. the staff could not be more helpfull . in every department.
the room was spacious, clean and inviting.
But what really stood out was the food!.
we paid £44 for both of us for dinner and unlimited breakfast. and were not expecting great things.
but wow !! from starters through main to dessert it was flawless .
from my chicken gougons through to proper chocolate dessert. it waS TRULY MEMORABLE.
at breakfast which was unlimited, the organisation, presentation and execution was flawless. also very relaxed and professional.
if i had 1 complaint , a very small one, location could be better and a little guidance, not having a car would have made an excellent stay faultless.
needless to say at prices paid (£39) we will be back as a sonn as we can come up with a decent excuse. well done you guys . GOOD SERVICE IS NOT A FORGOTTEN SKILL IN SCOTLAND. ITS ALIVE AND THRIVING IN PREMIER INN!!!

This is the best Premier Inn I have ever visited. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Great location, great price and a surprisingly impressive breakfast. Will make this our only hotel to stay in from now on.

This was the first time myself, family and friends have stayed in a Premier Inn, and I can definately say that Edinburgh Central is one of the best hotels we have stayed in. All staff were friendly and could not do enough to help, the rooms were clean and fresh and the beds were extremely comfortable. We had breakfast and evening meals at the hotel with a great menu to choose from and good value for money. The location was also very good.

I've used Premier Inn hotels before as they tend to be well located and offer very good value. This one's no exception. The dining / bar area is particularly good and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful.

Booked the premier inn very last minute for me and my partner and it was right near castle. although there was no car park we received 30% discount off ca rpark a sort walk away
The staff were really helpful and the room spotless and very comfortable we were a short walk from all the main attractions and very close to the Grassmarket which had fantastic bars and places to eat
will definitely come back again

Room Tip: book early to avoid dissapointment

I travelled with my wife, daughter and mother. The first day was traumatic. One of the rooms we were alloted were on the top floor and facing the sun, and were quite warm; the airconditioning was hardly any use. Room was suffocating. The other room was much better. We didnt get rooms on the same floor. Upon complainng, the person on the reception said they would do something when other rooms were available. The next day, the electricity was off, and the lift not working, and we had to walk down. The staff apologised , and realising our unfit'' condition, shifted us to a lower floor, together, and the rooms were great. Everything else was smooth sailing, the staff were very polite and friendly, the food was same daily, but good and hot, the premises were extermely clean, we got all the directions and tips from the reception desk. Great experience. I would recomend to all. Great location too, castle right behind, bus stops in front of the hotel.

Room Tip: Avoid the rooms on the top floor facing sun

Fantastic staff, always willing to help. Good clean rooms.
Food in resturant was very good for both breakfast and evening meal.
Quite handy for city centre. Easy walk.
Biggest down side is car parking. Although not too far away.
