“Very good hotel”

Usual Premier Inn refinements to be found here

The security was reassuring , the place itself was very clean and well presented
Our room was clean with a huuuuge bed !

The Thyme resturant downstairs provided us with good breakfast and meals throughout our stay

My only gripe which was not directly the hotels fault was a couple of groups of loud and drunk residents on two nights swearing very loudly in the family bar area - which is rather embarrassing with several family groups with small children trying to relax.
As the staff (and management) were within closer ear shot to us , they would have been quite aware of the offending groups.

If things had gone to plan I would staying here right now. Unfortunately as I was locking the house up to go to the airport I suffered a bad fall and ended up in the Emergency Department of my local hospital. A few hours later I was in a plastercast, I'd managed to completely fracture my wrist. In the midst of the pain I called the hotel to cancel my booking and was treated with care, concern and courtesy. A refund was arranged promptly and the manner with which it was done was impressive. Customer care at its finest. This hotel deserves the great reviews, I can't wait until I am well enough to go and enjoy it and the wonderful city of Edinburgh.

Cannot fault this Premier Inn, the staff were fantastic, the room was both comfortable and spotlessly clean. The location was great for reaching all the attractions that we wanted to visit whilst in Edinburgh.
Despite my husband being unable to make the trip with us, the security of the hotel and the professionalism of the staff led us to feel safe throughout our stay.

Great value, friendly staff. A real family feel. No complaints. Only thing we would have liked is to be able to control room temperature at night. Room did have a thermostat but did not respond to manual override.

We have stayed in a few Premier Inns and yet again were not disappointed. Spotless clean with friendly and helpful staff. Under 10 minutes walk to the Royal Mile and 15 minutes to Princess St. A really good location. I would recommend Grassmarket for food and drink which is only 5 minutes from this hotel

This was our first stay in a Premier Inn and it won't be our last. As the ad says everything was premier, but the price. The hotel was well situated in the old part of Edinburgh, but allowed us to approach the city across the enchanting area of Grassmarket every morning. There are many independent cafes and restaurants in the area. We took breakfast in the hotel and found everything to be plentiful and of a very high standard. The staff in the hotel are a great asset with their friendly and helpful approach. The room was located in the quiet area of the hotel at our request and we found ourselves to be very comfortable throughout our four night stay. We have stayed at a couple of Holiday Inn Express hotels in the past and have felt like sardines in a family room there, with two nights tops being bearable. Our growing children fitted very well into our family room at the Premier Inn. The children were in proper beds and we felt like we had our own space. The restaurant in the hotel was the choice of many families in the evening and seemed to have a wide choice and offer good value. Next time maybe.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights to visit Edinburgh Christmas markets.the information from the hotel prior to arrival allowed us to make use of the public transport.on arrival our room was not ready so they offered us a complimentary drink at the bar.shortly after our room was ready.the room itself was lovely.very clean and spacious.a good size bathroom with shower bath.all very clean.the hotel was about 5 minutes walk to princes street and was a leisurely walk.the hotel staff were extremely helpful and pleasant.we did not pay for breakfast in the price however we availed of the breakfast one of the mornings and the breakfast was very tasty.the price to stay was very reasonable and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the city.we will definitely return to Edinburgh and we would stay here again.
