Nice location, friendly staff and a good room with a big bed (I'm 1.90m). The woman from the reception advised to climb Calton Hill opposite the hotel for a nice view over the city and she was right. You won't regret your stay in this hotel. The Thai restaurant located inside the hotel serves delicious meals.

The continental breakfast isn't worth the money; sliced bread with cheese or jam.

My friends and I stayed here for two nights earlier this month and had a blast. The room was beautiful and great value for our money. Breakfast was great and we were able to park literally right in front of the hotel! Everyone we interacted with was lovely. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed overnight while in Edinburgh to see The Lion King. At the price we paid, didn't expect anything amazing, and from the outside, I was still a bit dubious about the hotel, but as soon as I entered, everything was amazing. The man who greeted me (I believe he was the assistant manager) was very friendly and informative, he gave me excellent directions to various tourist attractions in Edinburgh, which would be amazing for someone who doesn't know the city very well. He was very friendly and helpful both with me and with my boyfriend, who arrived slightly later than me. We were also upgraded to a family room, which was a pleasant surprise. The room was clean and spacious, with a double bed and two single beds. The decor was lovely, very well kept, and with a large fireplace. The location was perfect for anyone attending the Playhouse, and also a short walk into the town centre. There is an award-winning Thai restaurant on-site, which unfortunately we didn't get the chance to try, but there was a good selection of cereals, yoghurts and toast in the morning for breakfast and the staff were available for any requests. Amazing value for money and I feel it was a real shame we only got to stay there one night.

After getting such a fantastic deal on this hotel was slightly dubious as to how high my expectations should be. But they were blown away, the decor was great and the room beyond what I expected. Cosy, comfortable and all for a very low price. The manager and staff were always friendly and helpful, and the manager in particular has really put his heart into the place. Add all this onto only being a 10min walk from Old Town and it tops it off! The only slight let down was the breakfast, and the only reason I did not give this 5 stars as I didnt feel it matched the standard that was met by everything else. Would definitely stay again and recommend for others!

I found a very good deal on a third-party website with full breakfast included. My expectations were good since the beginning of my booking and before my stay because I had to change the day of my stay and the manager, Mr. John, allowed me without any extra charge.

When we came in around 9am, we have been welcomed by Mr. Eddy that soon gave us maps of the city and very helpful tips for our tour. Even though we arrived early Mr. Eddy gave us the key of our room and he said that it would have been available from 12am. Considering that the location is very good (5 mins from coach station and 10 from the old town) we decided to come back in the afternoon.

The full breakfast provided was good for the ranking of the hotel. Furthermore after the check-out they offered us to keep our hand luggage in the reception since late in the afternoon before our departure.

This hotel is the ideal place to spend a couple of days in Edinburgh. I strongly recommend it!!!
