Ive stayed at The Claymore on several occasions, mostly in the winter, as I have to go to Edinburgh at least once a year. I would never consider staying anywhere else. I think this guesthouse personifies the best of hospitality ethics i.e. I am welcomed in such a genuine warm way and small details of my needs and preferences are always remembered.
The owners go out of their way to ensure my comfort, security and well being, which for an older traveller is priceless. I love the breakfast and the coffee is totally up to scratch (I am very fussy about coffee!)
I am due to book to go to Edinburgh again and was just looking at the reviews on the Claymore. That very negative one has impelled me to strenuously deny its content and report that my own experiences could not have been more different.
To the owners I say "Don't change a thing!" To potential guests I say "Look no further, this is the place you want to stay!"
